I killed one the other day and i am very sure i got a dark badge as well as my 50 rp. Can anyone confirm this?

yes, all 7 of them i've seen in the past few days have given dark badges, plus xp and rp

They are not 100% Guaranteed to give the dark badge though.

I have seen drops from 20 in a row, at least the rate is high even if its not 100%

i can say its not every time but fairly often only had maybe 2 or 3 NOT drop out of a fair few (i lost count how many apeared over the last while)
