Ever since the new rules for calming amps and halcyons have been released the pvp farming has become ridiculous. I went from getting attacked once every couple weeks to 4 or 5 times a day. It wouldn't be a big deal if it were people that I could retaliate against, but it is always someone right at the top of the %40 range. I am rank 253 and I'm constantly being hounded by by people in the 390 - 400 range. Having an insane rep now seems to make you a magnet for people instead of a deterrent. I don't think anyone outside of %20 of your rank should appear on the battle tab. |

Seems like a good idea until you consider what that would do to the players over 1000. They've already got a small enough group that they're able to badge, this would only make it worse. I've noticed the same thing though, I've died quite a bit more since the update, usually at the trigger of 650+ players. On the other hand, I've gotten a lot more kills as well, so fair trade I suppose. Don't be afraid to hit those people that are so much higher rank than you. Sometimes (I say sometimes) they prey on lower ranks because they have crap ships and can't take out someone closer to their own rank. Just spam them with a few EMP's and Disarming Bombs, whack them with a Krionite Torpedo if you have one, and they sink just as well as a lower ranked ship. Don't forget to try for a raid too, you'll get more from them than they will from you. |

I have to agree with Darth Flagitious on this one. I am in the 500's and I see a lot of the same players on my bt over and over again. What you suggest would only make things worse. |
