IDEAS SO FAR !!!! holiday relax limited to once a year for 1 to 2 weeks brought with a method of payment ie credits or gp
1-ship does not go inactive
2-planets protected from invade
3-can not be used till after 1 week of last invade to stop planet stealing and using this for protection
4-energy and resources froze so they cant be used
5-loyalty to legion base to be canceled and to be re-earned after period of holiday
6-temp cloak to be installed to keep you of all battle tabs
7-no daily reward during holiday period
8-can not be used within 24 hours of offensive action (attack hack or raid )
basic outline is everything is froze with option of early buy out (gp only)
with option of payment as credits then daily upkeep should remain but if use of gp then should be frozen
so plz post further ideas to make this work i no that this has to have its flaws 2 as it cant be just a easy way out but other than legion loyalty what else could we use as a bad side to usin this easy option

Everything frozen - good.
GP - bad.

I'd prefer 1 week "cool-off" beforehand, where you can't attack planets, and 2 days beforehand when you can't engage in PvP.
Then, you have up to two weeks off. This is broken when you re-log in and disable the mode. You must then wait X time before you can reactivate it.

Personally... I think this whole idea sucks.... Quit being sissies.... If you want to go on vacation give a trusted legionmate your log in info....

i must agree with spyder, not everyone can and would spend money on GP, but the initial idea is genuis..

in fact, not yesterday a legion mate returned from holiday to find 12 of his planets invaded and gone, i'll grant, defence and attack may not have been up to scratch, but i'd wager that he could have saved a great many of those planets simply by being online at the time..

as for 2CnMe, surely i do wish this would happen to you when you next take a vacation, and as for giving log-in details, i believe that is complete stupidity, and surely violates the ToU..

Hmm. I'm not sure where I stand on this. It's not absolutely neccesary. Losing a planet doesn't mean game over, and a lot of problems can be avoided with planet probes + fluxes. On the other hand, I can see how it can improve the game.

It could be given as an artifact similar to the 'sphere of the new era' every year on 11 november as a daily reward. (2 of them, can be used separatly or their durations stacked). With a second store-bought artifact which freezes upkeep as long as the holiday peace is active (also stackable for 2 weeks).

That way, it will also be limited to 1 or 2 weeks a year. Saving them up for years is also possible, but very unlikely that someone will do it. The loss of production/daily reward/loyalty will prevent abuse.

if it freezes your production but your upkeep keeps going what prevents your ship from being disabled from lack of upkeep

I like and dislike points of this idea. An early buyout would cause most high ranks to be unmatched cause of lower ranks who dont spend GP. Suspending everything during that time would limit even the people who paid to be unfroze cause they wouldnt be allowed to invade a planet unless it was unfroze account and how would bases be affected? Daily shipments yield bonus's on holiday weeks mostly. Dan way of giving us something back. Things you only get on holidays... Maybe if you paid to freeze your account with GP for 7 days or till Jan 2nd.. I could see that but freezing everyone will sink the game during holidays 90% people will be on vacation at home on their computers on fb.. Galaxy legion goes down then a lot of new legions and players wont join. Holidays you see a lot of new people always. I do like idea of a secure break but freezing all of us I dont think is way to do it.. I dont want froze on holidays cause I want something to do while waiting on food to cook lol.
