Yes I am suggesting that a the cloaking rules for a ship also be used on planets. This way even if you can scan it and then drop your scanning down to nothing what is on it goes hidden till you get it back.
Might not see like much, but there is a bit of a fear factor not know where its stats are coming from past being guarded.

Yeah, nice idea there.. I don't see why not.. I'm sure that coding won't be difficult due to the fact that the code on ship exists that could be implemented on planets from scanning players.. That would make planet cloaks to be more useful..

Its an interesting idea. It would make the colony page sort of moot but I guess that's the point.
I would like to see this in tiers.
Cloak Level compared to Scanning: Outcome (this is all after planet is already found) Amazing: Everything on planet hidden Very Good: # of spaces used shown, (colony page hidden) Good: #of spaces used shown, some buildings shown, population visible Poor: Most buildings shown, population visible, attack/defense range shown (say + or - some random % of what you actually have so attack of 50 would show up at 25 to 75 and so on). Very Poor: Everything shown.
I think if this were implemented, it would be cool to see cloaked attack/defense structures. IE, they are not visible to scans until Tier Very Poor is reached, would not show up in the attack/defense range.

ODragon I would rather have this set up like a ship.
Though adding the option that is also cloaks the Colony page for the Attack, Def, and Cloak stats would be nice.
Keeping popaltion and guards uncloaked should be ok.

How about you could cloak the abundancy(Only for high cloak/scan)? That would be a very good detterent.

Up to dan but trully having it cloaked enough to hide everything is worth it.
