I have a idea if we could guard our legion base to protect it. We could see our attacker and fight back again them. Gaining badge for it... it just a little idea who need a little work to get it right!!

Bases have enough defenses as it is when you get to the higher levels.
Do some searching, this topic has been thoroughly discussed numerous times.

Just throwing this out there... but what if instead of having a standard npc style combat.... players do damage to base... then players have to "log in" to the turrets and manually shoot down the attackers. Include an automode that acts like it does now. Turrets on manual can be targeted, but do not count toward the automatic damage, but can be used independently to target anyone on the list. I'd probably say that it should consume the users energy to manually shoot the guns.

No idea what you're talking about Steve other than a "Players take control of some gun and shoot the attacking legion. The gun is not the player's ship it is something else."
Still goes on the lines of the fact that bases do not need any further defenses or attack power. They are very very difficult to take down as it is. Bases aren't hard to take down when they're level 2, 3, sometimes 4. Level 5s are half and half easy/hard and 6+ is just a monster. It took three of our legions (top 10 legions mind you) to take down a level 6.

automode: Like it is now. Manual: Player takes control of one turret (stats based on whichever turret is being operated), choses target from list, shoots at them like as if you were npcing. No reprisal damage. Guns on manual do not contribute to the damage done, because they're damage is being specifically dealt to targets. Multiple people can get in on the action... Not a buff, just using the numbers that already exist.
