For a timed event NPC, these are way to rare, im sure theres plenty of people who can add there stats of 10s of 10k+ energy used up hunting these and had zero luck. Event npcs should not be limited to those willing to spend tones of GP to find them. So can they be made abit more common please lol. |

I spent 4 trimatrices doing nothing but npcs. No bane. Lots of flamehawks... 5 lazuli refineries... no shockfighters... no bane... no ultra rare dark smuggler who unlocks a hidden mission so insanely rare that many high level players don't know about it. I'm not bitter. No sir. I'm also not lying. Not a bit. |

I actually hate them, I've been getting one type, the bane Eidolon, it only drops the hallows bane trick and is basically 3-4 stryll assassins put together, i HATE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

keep in mind you're looking for uncommons... but if you drop your scan as low as possible (you might have to uninstall some genetarr energy modules to get below 200) you can reduce how often you see some of the tougher rares and extremely rares... |

There seems to be 2 types of uncommons thoe, common uncommons, and rare uncommons, think we need a new category. Still not the point thoe. For a timed event celebrating a public holiday, they should be easier enough to find to give everyone a chance to enjoy it, not those that will splash out on 10-20 refills a day. |

i've already tactically re-modulated about 8 dark iso-runners (also uncommon) in the past two days hunting the bane from thesaurus.com.... synonyms for uncommon: aberrant, abnormal, anomalous, arcane, bizarre, curious, eccentric, egregious, exceptional, exotic, extraordinary, extreme, fantastic, few, freakish, infrequent, irregular, nondescript, noteworthy, novel, odd, original, out of the ordinary, out of the way, outré, peculiar, prodigious, queer, rare, remarkable, scarce, seldom, singular, sporadic, startling, strange, surprising, unaccustomed, unconventional, uncustomary, unfamiliar, unheard of, unique, unorthodox, unusual, weird synonyms for rare: attenuate, attenuated, deficient, extraordinary, few, few and far between, flimsy, inconceivable, isolated, light, limited, occasional, out of the ordinary, rarefied, recherché, scanty, scarce, scattered, seldom, semioccasional, short, singular, sparse, sporadic, strange, subtile, subtle, tenuous, thin, uncommon, unfrequent, unheard of, unimaginable, unique, unlikely, unthinkable, unusual, unwonted |

Why am I getting some uncommons over and over again and some almost never? Dan, no offense, but this is kinda crap. Every item at a given commonality should be equally common or equally rare. Say there's an 80% chance to get a common and there are 8 possible commons at that player's rank. All of them should have a 12.5% chance of showing up. If one has a lesser chance or one has a greater chance, there should be a different word for it. Like Very Common (counts as 2 out of 9 instead of 1 out of 8). If the designations are going to mean anything they should be standardized... or at least make some kind of sense. I've seen three Drannik Hubs and 5 Lazuli Fabers, a dozen Tyrants and Dark Arms. I've seen some extremely rares more than once in the last 10 levels, all spent NPC hunting... but zero banes of any kind. My scan is over three thousand. What am I doing wrong? Is my scan too high? Because if that's it I'm screwed because I also need Caelon to show up and that's so insanely rare that it makes T.O. Troop Carriers seem like commons. I play this game to avoid the frustration of every other game out there. Level Grinding is all well and good, but quite frankly the only reason I'm leveling up at all during these hunts is so I can get more energy with which to kill more Archelects be damned Flamehawks. |

Yep. I think the percentage rarity is different from the "uncommon", "rare" or "extremely rare" names. Re: the hallows bane. I think they'll become more common closer to the end of the event. I got one yesterday and 2 today. Burned about 14000 energy NPC hunting. All dropped the trap instead of the new weapon. I also got a few shockfighters, a dark arms carrier, rogue lapbop and 2 blade harvesters. Also far too many Octafari Levianths and Styrll Trappers which are currently my most hated ships. so, there's luck involved too. |

This discussion is as old as the game. In this game all un-commons (rare, extremely rare, take your pick) are equal but some are more equal than others. Alternatively, if your doctor would tell you RL that you have 90% to make it BUT the 90% would be the Galaxy Legion's 90%™ then let's just say you should say good bye to your loved ones and get your things in order. |

Sad to say to those who have spent all this energy hunting the bane that I do ing nothing more than more normal NPC hunt per day which is not a great amount have found 2 bane giving 2 overcharged bane emitters. So it all comes down to luck and timing. I love the bane and really find it funny when people whine about I didn't get enough. |

This is really stupid. I met a Bane Eidolon and it took me over an hour, a Dark Void Foci and a Drannik Saboteur plus maybe 400 energy just to get a stupid one-time trap. I am protesting that this is insane and our traps shopuld be switched to Emittors or Hyper Bane Emitters. They are so rare, hard and give insulting rewards. I think adding the trapids was a very insulting move. Outraged... ![]() |
