 Bonus to Event Missions

Every couple months a new mission chain is initiated. When this happens a new mission is released biweekly so that players have time to complete the mission and advance the story line. However, sometimes there are events that occur during these stories that cause difficulty when trying to complete the mission. The last event that comes to mind was the kurenite embargo. Because there are sometimes events that make these missions more difficult, it is often best for players to just wait until it is released into the mission list so they can complete it with no penalty. In other words, there is no advantage completing the story as the missions are released. No penalty whatsoever when they are released into the mission chain.

What i would like to propose is missions released biweekly get a bonus 25% xp reward when performed during the biweekly slot they are placed in. This would result in an incentive to try to complete the missions as they are released. I know for me, unless its something i actually WANT, i usually just let the mission slide. If it is a building, i complete it once. If its an artifact, i usually let it go. Modules are the only real thing i go after. However, if the missions gave out a bonus 25% xp when they are posted, it would cause players to actively seek after the mission, regardless of the rewards.

While i realize this may be a bit high, the 25% bonus, especially coupled with a nerual at 15% it totals out to about 80 xp per 25 energy. which is over a 3:1 xp ratio. But considering players only have 2 weeks to finish the missions, it will cause them to actively seek out the biweekly, regardless of the reward. Even if the reward was an artifact that gave 5 cloak and 10 attack passive to a planet, i would go after that for 30 rounds if there was a 3:1 xp ratio. And of course, when the mission is placed in the mission list, it would return to the 55 xp reward, which would be just over a 2:1 ratio. I do not think this would be game breaking, because the bonus xp would allow lower levels to rank faster, therefore getting more energy on refills to complete more rounds of the mission, whereas for higher levels, the bonus xp just makes it easier to reach that next rank or two. The people this would benefit the most would be the lower levels, but it would be greatly appreciated by all players, especially speed rankers.

I would suggest a 10% or 15% ...

Otherwise ... 25% + 15% + 10% = 158.1% experience (58.5% bonus) since to my knowledge they are cumulative (even if just added, it's still 50%).

You'd be able to auto-rank on the bi-weekly missions ... now, they are limited, but still. If the person is Human, that's another 10%. It would make auto-ranking extremely extremely easy for the players that are energy focused.

Personally, I don't think they need any further incentive. Most of the time the artifacts are either really good or they're so-so for your personal style. They don't really need any further incentive.

either way, ive only completed i think 2 of the xecti missions. and a total of 3 missions for the octafari. even if it was just 5% or 10% bonus xp, anything that would incent players to complete them. I know SOME players either cc heavily, or are more eccentric with their artifact use, but i really try to avoid wasting artifacts on planets i may lose, especially if i cannot regain them. The only artifacts ive used are my zolazin analyzers, and thats because i got them when i was a lower level and didnt understand their rarity, but even so ive only used 6 of them. and ive captured enough planets to compensate me for the 6 ive used. if missions had an xp bonus when they are available, especially if theres an event that makes them more difficult to complete, it would not just penalize players with the event, or even worse, with a lame mission that gives a crappy reward *cough* dimensional anchor *cough*.

To be honest, I don't really know what you're asking for now, you're asking for a little bit of everything ...

1. You complete how many missions you want, if you want it, do it, if you don't want it, then don't ... just saying
2. The comment about losing artifacts makes it sound like what you really want is a way to protect these artifacts either by not using them or by having them on more invincible planets
3. Then, you make it sound like what you want is not xp, but rather a better overall artifact reward because of the 'crappy reward' from some missions

An increase in the exp for when the mission is out is not going to help people finish it faster (i.e. your "cc heavily" comment), nor is it going to prevent you from possibly losing them if you put them on planet not well guarded (i.e. your "avoid wasting ... may lose" comment), nor is it going to make the reward any better (i.e. your "crappy reward" comment).

Just saying, you might want to reorganize your thoughts. Either way, a bonus to xp is both not the best idea nor is it the best way to 'incentivize' players.
