Ship-bots as new CT Lab discoveries

Okay, if you are like me, you have topped out for what you want installed (or, in my case, have everything including the Heavy Quasi-Chaotic Kitchen Sink online) but are still getting ship-bots, and you either just scrap them or leave them to sit, waiting for the next mission module to come along that could take more decks.
Well, I propose a new CT Lab discovery or three for these, as that seems to be the way of expunging tons upon tons of excess and, in many cases, less often used artifacts. Specifics for what could be made in this new discovery could include:
1) A planet size and production increase for metallic worlds. I kinda like the idea of going into a mechanical machine world design, so have it do something cool like increase artifact production, either by a fixed rate ( maybe +10 or something) or, my favorite, to match the highest production resource of the planet, and then boost size 1 step and resources a further 2. Of course this would change the type of the world to something new, perhaps a Mechanitropolis world. I want to see metallic worlds turn into glittering cities of androids, churning out machines.
2) A new artifact structure, similar to the DM79 Datacenter, except make it something like a Positronic Vivification Center, that could take 20 ship bots (and 20-40 each of neural interfaces and krionus virus traps?), and make them into a size 2 for 6 artifact production structure that gains a +4 boost if placed on a metallic or Dyson planet (and perhaps a lesser boost, +2, if added to a terra or gaia world). This would be a higher powered (as the components are more rare and costly for the average player) version of the datacenter.
3) A new ship module that increases defense as the framework of the ship gains a nanotechnology emergency repair system. This could be the 100 ship bots and 200 nanite swarms to create a module that increases hull by 300 each decreases repair costs by a percentage each. Perhaps 10% cost reduction per module, so a 200 million repair fee drops to 145.8 million if all three are installed.
These could benefit both ships that are topped out for decks, as well as ships that are intentionally trying to maintain low decks for damage limiting. Or, it could be that we all love to see a new planet out, or a new structure to mount atop our lovely Dyson sphere.
[EDIT] To clarify, I am not looking for new ideas, I am proposing them! If you are here to have a flight of fancy in some other direction, there is another thread for that already!

No offensive weapons? How about using x amount of ship bots to make some type of invasionary Domain Walker that independently deals damage to the population. Perhaps doubling the damage if used during an invasion.
I know it has no practical use. I just think it would be cool and we are just trying to get rid of excess ship-bots, are we not?

Let me tell you, planetary invasion isn't easy for all of us. Truth be told, I wish you could just trade ship-bots but think of the potential chaos that might cause.

if we're talking weapons, what about a cannon that decreases the player's defense for 10 minutes by .2% each hit. i'm sure ship bots can be 'rewired' to take apart a ship instead of building it. it could cost ship bots, tesseracts, neural interfaces, whatever. but seeing as i can usually take a ship out in 8-10 hits, 15 hits max, that would only drop their defense by 3% at the most. while 3% isnt alot, i'm not at the top of the rank pile. if pvp is as hard as the high ranks say it is, then perhaps it might take them 25-50 or even 100 hits to kill an enemy. this would amount to 5%, 10% or even 20% debuff to defense. the reason this would be useful is because most if not all players above 400 have at least one velox thruster on their ship. while ships may have had 10k defense before, they now have an extra 15% on top of that. this would be the easiest way to counter the velox thruster effects and make pvp a bit more manageable.

Redid the title so ye know this was not a thread askin fer more ideas, just my proposing three CT Lab ideas for ship-bot use. As to a desire to counter the Velox thruster, it's called cannons and tac officers. Most of us already know that. If you need more help, use EMP spheres, or just use shield restorers and repair nanodrones in the middle of killin someone like te rest o us does.

Ahem this would hurt my ship a lot.. If this was implemented. it would Anti strong ships. Its like Penalizing people who built and planned their ship well. High ranked players are already getting robbed of NPC already. Dont make our ships be penalized because we need 100+ hits to kill. oh and there is already an artifact called Disarming bomb and EMP sphere that works the way you are saying even better but. unlike the weapons these are limited items. You can stack them but you cant use them more than 100 times.

Yeah, Remric is spot on on this one. I am not looking for ways to tear down other players, I am looking for ones that build up my ship, my planets, and make my efforts productive rather than destructive. There are enough ways to take stuff away from other guys, so I say more ways to build ourselves up and become stronger and more productive.

my apologies, i assumed you were asking for feedback/more ideas on how to incorporate ship bots into the ct lab. i didnt realize you just wanted the suggestion to be 'put ship bots as an ingredient in the ct lab'. as for the gun idea, we have so many cannons that are just +50 attack, +100 attack, etc. i'd like to see more creativity and special weapons in the game. while i personally am not looking to bring other players down, as i dont ever use emps on enemies as anyone i find on the bt is a rather easy target, and i learned the hard way that disabling players that disabled you leads to a legion alert and 2 days of being zeroed, but i assumed that since so many higher levels complain about pvp and how hard it is that maybe you guys could use a little boost. a weapon that becomes more effective as you level or fight stronger ships. however, it dosnt look like there is any solution to that problem, as although you guys want pvp to be easier, it also looks like you dont want to make the sacrifice of making your ships be slightly easier to disable.
honestly, the only logical thing to use ship bots for would be ship related modules, artifacts, etc. this could range from a defense bonus artifact, a hull bonus artifact, a module to cut repair time, special ship space, deconstruction of decks into rank points, etc. when applying what the artifact does into combat modules, you have to remember that these artifacts are designed to construct space ships.
what i personally would like to see them used for is a way to either construct moons for planets (when that gets released), make moons bigger on planets, or construct space stations around planets to function as a moon/effect that simultaneously guards the planet and provides extended build space.
