I just recently had a screw up where i took a 16x toxic from a friend (Not realizing this) and i am pissed off.
Shouldnt it be the same as it is when you try to attack a friend in PvP?

Whilst i can technically agree, the planets do already state "Friend Occupied" rather than enemy occupied;

we can not attack friendly ship or legion members, I do not see why we should be able to attack and take friends planets, unless people are planing some kinda green badge farming trick.

Well it shows up large enough on my screen for me to know its a friends planet.

As for the whole making them non-attackable, i'd have to disagree again. I'm trade "friends" with around 40-50 people, that doesn't mean i know them nor care how they might feel if i took one of their planets. It might lose me a trading partner, but there are plenty of others about.

There are a few, yourself & fedexrunner whom i have as friends who i won't take planets from on principle, given that both are former rangers, and i got on well with the both of you.

All that needs to occur is for people to take their time and carefully read whether it says "friend" or "enemy" controlled next to the red crown before they actually begin attacking, which takes all of 1 second to do.

If you really want a change go for the less restrictive choice. If its a friends planet then instead of a red crown have a green emblem. As surely you won't miss a big green emblem and the word "Friend" when attempting an invasion.

I support the green crown idea.
The friend/enemy occupied difference i only found out about today.
There needs to be some STAND OUT icon that mentions its friend occupied...That differs from the Enemy page.

-1 I have lots of people with whom I trade. I'd still like to take their planets.

you shouldn't take a planet without first checking who the planet belongs to
you want to be sure you can hold onto the planet, right?
i say it's your fault for not checking the owner first

I have to say +1 for a new symbol for friend owned, when a friend leaves the legion, i'd hate to steal his planet of have a member steal his alerted planet
