The universe needs a few new planet types. Basic planet types, not 'upgraded" ie Plasma, Demon, etc.
Artifact strong planets seem to me to be the least plentiful, which makes sense, but I'd still like to see a little more variety. Swamp, Jungle, Arid, Harvest worlds (agriculture based) are all different enough from Terras to merit a planet type of their own.

All planet types at the moment are fine What I want to see is NPC faction controlled planets that only have specific bosses that can only be battled on the planet's surface or in orbit and obviously the planet would have good production The planets would be retaken after a few days by the same faction by the same bosses so that the player has a chance to battle them again and again in order to get the max number of mods and/or rewards gotten from the boss/es

Someone mentioned somewhere about having machine planets, sort of like a cross between an Ecumenopolis and a Dyson. They would be very rich in arties and possibly research, but have no minerals since the minerals have been used up to make the machines. They could be a Drannik planet, perhaps. I know we have the Drannik colony ships, so why not a Drannik world? The Drannik are supposed to have spread across the Galaxy afterall, so it would make sense that they have (Or did) colonise a lot of planets.

Maybe an unoccupied planet of any type that has x amount of cloak. When scanned, the planet will have more resources than what it should have. (Such as a barren having x amount of cloak and mining production of v. rich or ex. rich.) If the planet has more cloak, it will have more resources.

No, what I was looking for was really basic planet types. To enrich the galaxy and give players from rank 1 more options in the types of planets they colonized. Terras and Gaias are the "Oooh factor" at that stage. So adding something a little more pleasing than Barren or Desert or Icy, but not quite Terra was my intent.

In my opinion all idea's posted are all good idea's. I myself would like to see bigger, better, and newer things come to this game. Some games turn into repetitive play and I would not like to see that happen here. New planets types, new missions, even being able to battle bosses on the planets surfaces for the planet. All sound like great ideas to me.
I would also add, that if you attacked a planet with a monster on the planet surface it would add a permanent buff to the planet.
Cheers!
