A GP structure to be placed on the base that cost 20+ AP to use is the only non-OP way of doing this..... otherwise..

I had attackers in mind when I posted, not defenders.

Does that mean the attacker USE ot the defender(the target base)
or the attacker hit with BY the defender?

If the former.... that's exactly what I thought it was, it need be a base ap-costing thing to use as opposed to a simple artifact that some ppl are bond to be able to grind lots of.

If it's the latter.... wtf is it supposed to do?

To be specific, my suggestion was a base ability that will purge the buff of the base that the legion is currently locked on

While I've always been in favor of keeping bases as they are and not harder because they're already tough, this has easy potential to be breaking. Base buffs up, attacking base uses 'containment missile like thing', defending base has to rebuff, attacking base just waits four hours (so buffs wear), defending base has to rebuff, attacking base then uses 'containment missile like thing', defending base either buffs up again or saves some ap for hull repair.

Either way, attacking base essentially never has to deal with buffs and without buffs bases are significantly easier ...

Even if it's just a 'once per battle' thing, that's an instant waste on enemy ap when the attacking base doesn't have to 'spend' anything.


Bases should stay the way they are right now in terms of the basic mechanics of base battling. All members of attacking legion attack defending base, defending base buffs up and uses ap to either buff or repair or use something to defend itself.
