To go along with all of my previous suggestions to streamline the functions of the game, I've been finding the legion setup a bit clunky. To be precise how you have officers and leaders. In the past I've seen long complicated suggestions for different positions like diplomats or technomagi. And while I applaud the creativity behind those ideas, I think they take it too far and overcomplicate things.

I personally think that only having leaders and officers is a limiting way to control the social structure of a legion. I'd personally like to see it changed to a three tier setup. Sergeants, Lieutenants, and Captains.

I raise this because we've been looking to organize our learning (sub 50) players and wanted to appoint someone to keep an eye on them. Kind of a go to person to help corral them as a lot of our current legion play is based around much higher level play and we felt that they were being ignored a bit. That said, we picked the most get up and go learning player to 'corral' them and granted him officer status. But it didn't quite feel right because he hadn't met any of the real criteria we have for officer or leader status. Which is why it would be nice to be able to deputize someone as a sergeant. Someone who's a go to person without granting overarching responsibilities or capabilities.
