This was a joke but i think it would be a pretty good random event: This effects both owned and not owned planets, for a name, i was thinking wormhole. On Unoccupied planets, it lasts 1 day. On Occupied Planets, it lasts 3 days. The Descripition: (Planet Name) Has Reported a Wormhole erupted in orbit of the planet. The planet will not be able to be invaded for the next 3 days. The Planet Also can not be guarded, Any guard(s) will be warped away. The player will get a message saying: A Natural Wormhole around the planet as warped you away, The planet can not be guarded until the Wormhole closes. |

+1 and I think we should be able to analyze a planet after we get it and there is a chance to have a temp effect or a perm one or nothing, then there are the random ones too! |

to be honest when i started to read it i was thinking something like "(Insert name) has reported that a wormhole has opened up in orbit and the planet was sucked through into another system. the planets location has been erased from anyone who had it scanned other than the owner" but that works too |
