I'm actually suggesting this out of experience. Genetarrs are meant to be helpful with NPCs legion-wise, but it seems to be not too helpful with just attack reduction. I was thinking maybe the Mind Influence ability could receive a modification: It would allow you to Influence the Defense OR the Attack, regardless which one you pick. The timer would be on both, and both would count as Mind Influence so it can't be exploited to cast both at once on the same NPC with the 30 min cool down. This could potentially raise the helpful-ness of Genetarr (So that it isn't all that useless imo..) while maintaining the amount of power it can dish out to NPCs. The duration would still be 1 hour and 30 min cool down - It just gives you an option for how it affects the NPC. And it does seem logical, I mean, it's 'mind influence'. If it can lower attack, it would make sense to have the ability to work on defense as well; a one or the other scenario. |

After unlocking it I was thinking it'd be too useless.. But I figured it'd be good help with bosses or elites. Most of the time there's a load of def and the attack is tolerable - Makes me wonder why Genetarr exists to some extent. |

Not having used Genetarr myself, but having looked at the more advanced races. I do agree with more incentive to change races. +1 Genetarr mod. |

At least Genetarr's good against Shockfighters.. Even though they're not bosses. It really does need the defense option. Too little in NPC elites or bosses that get affected by Mind influence. |

idont know how gentar works fully but wouldnt this being implented allow groups of gentar to multiply hit each stat making some elites just far to easy please correct me if i am wrong the piont i ask and make if a gentar uses his ability now can another gentar still use it again so halving the half if thats doable then def aswell would mean several gentars could drop the def to minimal so you hit the max damage every time making elites vanish in very few hits kinda taking the fell of them away again correct me if i am wrong |

The Genetarr can use the ability once every half hour, and the -50% attack lasts an hour. It works like any other arti on an NPC, you can only have arti type effect on it at a time, so you can't stack the ability. Perhaps you can choose between -50% attack or -25% defence. And you can't wait for the recharge and use the other effect, so you can't lower both at once. |

see thats good to know i think when picking it could even be elite by elite you choos but thats it locked in for that elite i do love the def dropping factor altho remeber this would stack with dranniks and emp sheres so your talking a good 60-70%drop in def even at -25%def ability wondering wether it may be a little over powered for some elites altho if it had the - def ability it would be the majority of npcers wet dream as i know most npc's i see from rank 30 to the 120 i am now mainly have higher def than attack and even cranking 2800 att with a shockpulse on i still was struggling to take some down in under 6 hits like blooming dark warpers and a few others i clocked especially lazuli factory complexes out of the 8 i came across i only had draniks for 6 that was irratating i tell ya especially at tea time with most folk idle or ooe lol but got there in the end |

But don't forget that right now you can also combine the current Genetarr ability with a dark void foci and a disruption bomb, that also lowers it by around 80%. It's overpowered for elites yes, but most bosses have buffs of their own that can easily counter it. Genetarr ability is a way to lessen the impact of those. Besides, there is also Drannik, which does 50% extra attack to NPCs, combine that with all those other buffs you can get and that's pretty overpowered too. All in all, you can't stop stuff from being overpowered. I suggested only a 25% debuff because 50% is overpowered. Combine that with a drannik sabatour for an elite and there goes 75% of it's defence. but you can't use drannik sabs for bosses. You need the CT Lab arti, and that costs a pretty penny. |

As Xzien mentioned.. I was suggesting that the buff stays the same regardless, just has the option of being defense or attack as the effect, can only be cast once regardless. And the Foci can't be used on most shareables like the sab, so I believe that 50% is fair-play. As for how many of the ability that can be triggered at once on an npc, only one ability can be put, not multiple - just like it is now. So it wouldn't matter how many Genetarrs you had. |
