I would like to see a maximize GL window button like I see in Backyard Monsters and Clash: Rise of Heroes.

maximizing would allow me to see legion COMM and perform other tasks and it would minimize scrolling up and down to do things.

that would be nice. i agree it needs some attention as the main form for communications with your legion, but just allowing it to be maximized would eliminate my biggest annoyance with the COMM. with FB group chats it's easy to stay in loop with the conversation because of notifications and it being able to get pulled up wherever you are. however, i find myself gettting lost, or having to dig through COMM archives to follow something that was said 5 minutes ago.

my thinking is that if GL can be maximized, then legion COMM will always be visible. making it easier to stay in loop with current conversations without being solely stuck at the bottom of my scroll not being able to do anything else.

Trouble is, the apps you mentioned are flash based, GL is not. Maximising the window is not a simple matter like it is flash.

Maximise it. As in, make it bigger? Sure, you can do it, but it's alot harder.

Honestly, this is more Lone.Lycan's area of expertise.

This idea is still alive then.

I agree, when using the Legion comm. Its hard to trace back to a conversation that happened even 12 hours ago is a problem.

I suggest:

rendering your comm posts a different color may add improvement, as well as an easy fix.
Also setting up a group page for your legion outside source from the game will add a group chat. although may not fix your current issue.

and I got nothing else right now :)

You can already extend the comm. You can also use the comm archive to track back 12 hours.

when i extend my COMM it blocks other things in the game.
maximize the window, and i'll have more room to make legion COMM extend (even though I don't think i would need to if I could maximize)

back tracking to follow a current conversation is an annoyance because i am stuck in the archive window.
i think if you maximize the window, the legion COMM will be as effective as FB group chat. you wouldn't have to depend on archives and blocking other functions in the game just to follow a conversation.

Now I'm totally confused. This is a gripe about the comm? Why do you even need to read 12 hours ago? Why would you be doing things and reading back in the chat? Why not USE FB chat? Why? Why?! WHY?!

I agree Strm avenger set up a facebook group page would add a group chat window.

I do agree with the comm issue, 12 hours was a exaggeration. even leaving a comm posting coming back later can be cluttered and hard to find your post and the replies. Simply showing your comm as a different color would add improvement in finding lost conversations.

I prefer FB group chat, but majority of my legion chat is in-game. These are some problems I've come across using the tools in the game. Therefore, I made this suggestion to better enhance my game experience.

It's not a matter of me being able to read 12 hours ago. It's a matter of being able to actively follow my legions conversation without being stuck at the bottom of my window, unable to do anything else because i'd have to scroll up (and legion COMM disappears). Sometimes our chat is so active it's hard to follow because I am constantly moving up and down to perform different tasks. I think if I was able to maximize the window, like I can in other games, all I would have to do is move my eyes, allowing me to follow the chat and perform PvP, NPC, missions, etc...

@PatronSaint - We have a FB group page set up. However, our legion COMM is more active.

completly right, with a flash game you can set up an AS sequence that will render everything to appropriate [ desierd ] screen resolution. However, and im just speculating, since GL is based on Javascript and PHP [ the aformentioned speculation ] there is no easy render fix, as browsers themselves dont actually render a size increase - unless your talking zoom - but thats not the same thing.

Add to that the complexity that every FB app now has to run in a frame, so your asking someone to maximize something thats running inside of something, being displayed remotely by another something.

The idea can work but the amount of work needed to create such a function is IMHO not worth the effort.

It's hard for us to determine if the effort is worth it or not..

Is this a problem for other people than myself? If so, how important for is it for Dan to fix an annoyance for the players?

[If the questions are responded with yes and important, then it would be worth the time and effort.]

[If the questions are responded with yes and not very important (and Dan is making a considerable amount off this game), then I don't see the point of playing this game long term.]

[If the first question is responded with no, then, well, it's no and their isn't much I can do about it.]

This would require MANY hours of coding. It is NOT worth the effort.
