Would it be ok to see more of these and see them be more common, perhaps even as shipment drops? When it comes to defense and attack these can remain more rare as NPC/boss only drops but as for resource output and cloak. I add cloak because as many say especially at high levels cloak isn't very useful on your planets. Applying multiple permanent cloak boost might help in that aspect. As for resource boosts this would be something very small and cost a good chunk of artifact points (8000+ per artifact) and they would only raise output by 1 AFTER % bonuses. In other words this wouldnt work the same as an artifact structure that adds +1 to mining or whatever, it would look at your total then add 1 to the output. So if you have 30 mining on a planet and it gives 120 minerals per hour using this artifact would make it produce 121 minerals per hour. The extra minerals per hour would be shown under the effects tab and would be cumulative. If you use 15 artifacts it should show (this planet gains 15 minerals from artifacts). Names could be along the lines of: Small mineral filter: Adds 1 to total mining output of a planet (must be able to produce minerals) 15 energy to use 8000 artifact points Weak information repeater: adds 1 to total research output of a planet Simple scrying AI: adds 1 to total artifact output of a planet Larger ones could be added that give +2 or +3 but are not needed. Another option is to have such artifacts that cost some number of badges to purchase. Another idea is an event inducer. This would be some kind of boss drop or high badge costing item that increases the chance of random events to happen on the planet. The actual amount that it would increase the chance would remain hidden but you would be able to use the artifact multiple times on the same planet. It would look similar to scanning in saying things like: This planet is rarely eventful This planet is uncommonly eventful This planet is commonly eventful This planet is very commonly eventful The first one would take 2-3 of this artifact, the second would take double that, the third double again and so on. A planet that is commonly eventful would see an event something like once every 2 months or so. (seeing as how I've only seen 3 planetary events over 40 planets over the course of 2ish months i figure that is a lot for a single planet to get) |

I agree that planetary Analyze events should be more common, down the lines of once per month; which would still be pretty rare. For example, it would take me well over 4 years for all of my planets to encounter an event! Also, I most defiantly would by a reality transfuser to go with it. |

I only have about 170 planets, but it seems to be 1 event per planet per week for me. My only frustration is it's usually pretty useless, a flux storm is great, but 1 week's protection? meh. Def not worth re-shuffling buildings. Often times it seems the bonus is + research points on a rich mining planet with abundant research, the bonus shlud always be to one of the top two resources, and better than 20% or longer than 1 week to make it ork paying the Cr. and minerals to change the structures on the planet.. -Q |
