So there's a way to upgrade spy uplinks. It's done by doing a mission in the Sha'din chain and getting artifacts that double their research and triple their cloak. And phase cutters can be upgraded with tri-phase upgrades obtained by raiding level 5 bases. But there's no upgrade for the space elevator. How about something that at least upgrades it's artifact output?

And another thing. Although spy uplinks, phase cutters, and space elevators provide more production per space than +8's, +10's, and +12's, upgrading to +8's, 10's, or 12's increases your production more than building those structures does. My idea was to slightly increase the ap cost of those chassises for players rank 300+ and have them provide 2 production, rather than 1. Upgrading these spy uplinks and phase cutters would not make them have +4 research and +6 mining, but the regular +2 research and +3 mining.
