 Ideas for new battle market items

I had a number of ideas of what items can be added to the battle market.

Silver Badge Items:

Tetra-Seek Jammer
Special Module – Size:20, Cloak:50, Defense Against Bases +5%
Limit 3 per ship
Cost: 50 Silver Badges

Modulated Vessel Tracker
Special Module – Size:20, Scan:60, Enemy Player Attack +5%
Limit 3 per ship
Cost: 40 Silver Badges

Planetary Scanner
Special Module – Size:20, Scan:60, Planetary Scan +3%
Limit 3 per ship
Cost: 40 Silver Badges

Dark Badge Items:

Anti-Overload Nullifier
Special Module – Size:13, Defense:60, Defense Against Non-Player Enemies +5%
Reduces effects from npc’s inflicted on your ship by 10%
Limit 3 per ship
Cost: 304 Dark Badges

Module Upgrade
Increases the bonus of a special ship module by 50%
Limit 1 upgrade per module
Cost: 414 Dark Badges

Structural Upgrade
Doubles the bonus of a special planetary structure
Limit 1 upgrade per structure
Cost: 216 Dark Badges

Green Badge Items:

Archeologist Site
Planetary Structure – Size:2, Artifact:2, Population:100
The bonus doubles if used on a 'New Colony' that you recently invaded
Limit 1 per planet
Cost: 3 Green Badges

Assimilation Lab
Planetary Structure – Size:2, Reseach:2, Population:100
The bonus doubles if used on a 'New Colony' that you recently invaded
Limit 1 per planet
Cost: 3 Green Badges

Assimilation Upgrade
Upgrades an existing Assimilation Locus, Assimilation Lab, or Archaeologist Site
Doubles its bonuses. Can only be used on structures that do not already have a double bonus
Cost: 4 Green Badges

Yellow Badge Item:

Heist Dispatch Stronghold
Planetary Structure – Size:3, Mining:2, Artifact:2, Attack:450
Limit 1 heist structure per planet
Cost: 60 Yellow Badges

Protean Barracks
Special Module - Size:10, Hull:300
Increases raiding ability against players 100+ ranks higher than you by 7%
Limit 1 per ship
Cost: 80 Yellow Badges

Blue Badge Items:

Decryption Quad-Frame – Mark II
Special Module – Size:12, Scan:35, Cloak:35
Limit 4 quad-frames per ship
Cost: 120 Blue Badges

Decryption Quad-Frame – Mark III
Special Module – Size:14, Scan:55, Cloak:55
Limit 4 quad-frames per ship
Cost: 180 Blue Badges

Database Decrypting Algorithm
Special Module – Size:10, Cloak:25, Hacking Ability +7%
Limit 3 per ship
Cost: 80 Blue Badges

Counter-Intelligence Headquarters
Planetary Stucture – Size:3, Reseach:4, Cloak:250
Limit 1 counter-intelligence structure per planet
Cost: 60 Blue Badges

It would definitely be nice to see some more uses for badges, and new structures and modules are always welcome.

Good ideas! I think for the Dark Badges, the Upgrades should be 300 Dark Badges only because 120 is nothing, it's easy to do almost twice that in a single day for those of us that hunt NPCs as a play style. That would lead to way too many upgrade bonuses too easily. I think 300 or perhaps even 500 would be more appropriate, especially for the planet buildings as well.

Always a fan of new stuff but I'd change the names for two of your things some.
Tetra-Seek Jammer = Deflector shields maybe
Anti-Overload Nullifier = surge nullifier or something those to just sound weird

I think Tetra-Seek Jammer goes more hand in hand with the Tetra-Seek Targeter. Targeter adds bonus attack, Jammer bonus defense. Makes sense.

I do agree about the Surge Nullifier though. Surge Plexus gives bonus attack, Nullifier bonus defense.

I like your ideas, but PLEASE no more decryption quad frames. I just got all four and I am NOT interested in racking up another 500+ blue badges just to upgrade my existing ones. Plus, the counter intelligence nexus is still in high demand.

+! and +1 to the other ideas except I think some of the dark badge ones could be too powerful. There are lots of special ship modules and the boosts might be too high, especially with high rank NPC hunters getting lots of dark badges. (I've only got 250 so far and I'm a rank 440 NPC hunter. Don't know how you high ranks do it.)

+1 generally, with the following things:

Planetary Scanner: I know there is a scanner in silvers right now, but i don't feel planetary scans should be based on silvers. Feel like it might be more of an... green item. And on a side note.... why is there NO mixed item? like part silver part green or something?? anyone know?

Module Upgrade: would have to be VERY limited on what things can be upgraded... for starters... NO to energy ones = =;

Structural Upgrade seems to cheap, just check out how much the "warp gate upgrade" cost is from the CT lab.... I mean I would love this, but I doubt it would ever happen.


Composite Plexus<<this isn't OP but... anyway
I think you can infer from the assassins how dan feels about auto lvling, do you think you stand a chance?

I'm really digging the upgraded quadframes, but that would leave me with obsolete tech :cry: .

There are some badge modules similar to a couple of these ideas that were recently released. The BM50 Convoy Shuttle increases defense against bases by 5%. And the CipherBot increases hacking ability by 7%. I have all three bots and am close to getting my second convoy shuttle.

And about the planetary structures. If Heist Dispatch Stronghold and Counter-Intelligence Headquarters were released, there should be the option to upgrade existing Heist Dispatch Centers and Counter-Intelligence Nexi to those more advanced structures. The cost would be 35 yellow badges and 20 blue badges, respectively.

And another green badge idea: Assimilation Locus Upgrade. Upgrades an existing Assimilation Locus, doubling its bonuses. Cannot be used on an Assimilation Locus which already has a double bonus. Cost: 4 Green Badges. It would cost more than 3 greens because this is better than building an assimilation locus. Building an assimilation locus takes up space, but this upgrade would add mining and population without taking up more space.

-1 to one of my ideas. Planetary Scanner. Although an extra 9% planet scanning power would be nice, that would make it easier for other players to find my planets. And planets would need even higher cloak to remain hidden.

Increased the price of the structural and module upgrades. Also added more cloak to the headquarters. And I added a yellow badge item and a green badge item.

+1 i like em all but what about some new red badge items, i mean once u get the 4 mrkIII dominions there is no use of the reds apart from base scanning and once people get the cannons most people stop PVP'ing. I would like to see more rewards for red badges.
