im sure everyone has that feeling with these missions, your on a roll and them bam, mission failed. i think for these ones under the risk line in the description there should be some form of advice on how to reduce the chance to fail, like take the "Prevent meteor impact" one, chance to fail, but you need a minimum of 100 attack, so surely more attack would mean a lower chance to fail?
any feedback on this idea?

It's been ages since I finally finsihed those truely truely annoying chance to fail missions. I agree with you any help that coudl be offered by Dan & co woudl have been AMAZING. I hate them, I think most players do, and I think that's why they stopped making Chance to fail missions like that.

+1 I have a mission from a long time ago. Can't remember what it is, have to track some guy down or something.... and I haven't beat it once. He never escapes.....I end up killing the guy. Advice on that would be awesome.

On the "chance to fail" missions, there is a random roll that determines if you fail or proceed. Same as the missions that have a "chance to receive." There is nothing you can do differently to increase your chances to succeed, so therefore no advice can be given. Just slog your way through them and accept the fails, or just ignore those missions.

No, he's suggesting that more factors be taken into account.

obviously for some chance to fail the random roll is totally unstoppable, like the Starbase Royale which is just Vegas in space so you are bound to lose sometimes, but for others surely some part of your ship stat would play a part in making it less likely to fail, like Dangerous Rescue, where you are pretty much raiding a ship to find someone, so more crew or better scan would probably lessen the fail chance

To much attack and you might kill the SOB. To little scan, he gets away.
