How about the option to uninstall special modules on your ship?

I'm talking about the ones that are unlocked from mission completions. Is there a purpose for not letting them be uninstalled? I'd love to uninstall my tachyon router to get my scan below 20 again so my BT doesn't keep getting full up on Stryll Assassins. Dudes take way too much energy to kill, and give way too little. If I had under 20, I wouldn't see them.

quite the reason they're not going to be uninstallable... otherwise people would be able to autorank much easier again

even if you were able to uninstall them - probably not going to happen - and get your scan under 20, you still have to deal with ships like dark warppers which give less of a reward, are far more common, and are a bigger energy trap.
