Does anyone else think that the mission tier rewards are woefully underpowered? I understand the first 20 or so being weaker (to about 50 or so missions completed)
but by that time the rewards SHOULD be getting more powerful. its clear by that time that you ARE staying with the game and just the overall energy spent should dictate a nicer reward then 10-50 hull/shield...
Just my opinion, comment either way if you agree or disagree.

Also two questions for people who have done EVERY mission thats NOT repeatable, how many missions do you have on your mission screen and how many times have you completed the ones that ARE repeatable?

i dont know when you can reasonably expect to finish up with doing missions (non repeatable) but some of them are MONTHS long... sure some are shorter, but the average is definitely on the much much longer side... as such, the higher you in tiers, the more lucrative it should be for rewards...

90 Missions Ended - 24th Tier
Chron-Pulse Drive: Increases defense by 30 and max shield by 50.

whats 30 defense and 50 shield to someone whos definitely twice my rank if not 3 or 4 times higher? I'm rank 220 and ive got 57/58 done, and my last reward was the OMNI BASE... I don't even recall using it... and checking my planets, NONE have it either (and no, no one has invaded or conquered any of mine)

That's very true, i mean 30 defense is nothing for me and im rank 114.

probably the best thing in the list is the omnibase, and if that's placed on a non-invincible planet it can be stolen from you

well, 23rd +8 recharge is very important
38 sec recharge is 1/4 slower than 30 sec~
but tbh the final reward at 24th is a real pushover..... not much of a finale~

we need more of those little things too

yes we definitely need more !!!! but since i have 1423 Missions Completed would they be rewarded retroactively ? even if it's just more omnibases i'd be happy

is missions even kept track of?

I was thinking about this just the other day, i came up with the conclusion that these were probably one of the very first thing dan came up with. So comparatively now they look incredibly weak. but 2 years ago i douubt dan thought the game would be as far as what it is.

Potential solution:

Convert many of the statistics to percentages.

AI Supercomputer?
5% bonus to hack attempts, cloaking, scanning.

Thrust Stabilizer?
1% Defense, 3% Hull

Combat Analyzer?
Attack and Defense 2%

Percentage points are relatively small, but keep in mind the potential stacking and late-game use.

Chron Pulse should really just add a zero in front of both numbers, IMOP.

In my opinion, you already get rewards for doing the missions, and the modules take up 0 space. So really it makes sense.

I was going to say this as well. Considering they take NO space, you really cannot complain about them (especially when you consider many missions give rewards for completing the mission itself). Just look at the mission completion modules as little bonuses you get added to your ship every so often, because at 0 space they all technically have the best stat:deck ratio in the game.

They are biscuits you give your dog for bringing you the newspaper or slippers.

Fine as is.
