The following is a system I propose to be added into the game: Each planet gains a button whose effect is "Collect one "Production" badge- This planet loses all production for a 24(or 20ish) hour period." These badges could be redeemed at whatever Dan thinks a suitable rate for "abandon planet" artifacts, and perhaps some other planetary artifacts he sees fit. This would give players who have taken terrible planets at any point a chance to work towards removing them, and give occupying any planet a real benefit as opposed to anything subpar being a drain on player's resources through invasion costs, etc. Any feedback on this idea would be appreciated. |

It may work, but it might work better if you have it where to abandon a planet you loose 50% or so of your production for said amount of hours. |

It would be a good idea since there's been discussion about abandoning planets - but there's a door opened for abuse, people could colonize a planet with horrible production just for the badges - it wouldn't have an effect on their production and makes it a free badge. The planet would have to have a minimum production output of say 80 - 120 to prevent this. |

In my own opinion- each planet slot a player has should be providing the player with a benefit. Some players may make or have made bad decisions with theirs. I feel that there should be an equal and universal benefit to all planets, so that at least some value could be extracted out of the worse planets. If they feel like using one of their slots to host a planet just for badges- all they are doing is choosing not to focus on only one aspect of planet production. Just my thoughts. p.s. The idea is also for new players, who have taken terrible planets. An important part of the idea was making those planets able to pay for their own abandon, given time. Putting a minimum production output would sort of defeat this point. |

This ability should only be used on planets with 200+ production output. |

I think I see where Drekentai is going with this, you use your better, higher production planets to earn the badges to abandon your crappy ones. It also means that CC players cant just colonize a bunch of shitty planets for a slew of "Planetary Badges" that they could spend on other planetary benefits then use GP to abandon the planets the colonized. |
