It's a nice sounding idea on the surface, but...

It'll really just allow the higher ranked players (who are even more likely to have the research to be donating to the base) get even higher in productions when/if contributions are split. They will generally have more credits to contribute in addition to being able to donate EM and the like, which will also just allow the richest players in the legion to also get the highest % split.

If possible, maybe it should be set as a Yes/No option though.

That is a great point i like the yes/no option

I still think there sould be a better con tribution system based on the trade system.
1ctp=10 energy=100em=10M creds or something

I completely agree with this.

What about player withdraws from base funds?

Players would be able to withdraw and deposit credits to raise their percentages

lowers their percentage if they do, simple as that.
Leaders could also gain the ability to remove that if someone was doing a trade through the base, useable every 7 days.

I'd prefer if we had a "Funds" total sheet without it going to percentage of base contributions. A tracker if you will that would track monthly donations totals. A sort of credit where credit is due basis. Although it could be argued having funds as a % contributor might solve the issue of lesser players being able to catch up contribution wise... and could therefore be argued that there would be benefits to a never ending competition. However; spending cash on modules, base repairs would have to be factored out of base contribution degradations from lessening funds. Also to contribution % could either be lowered from daily maintenance/fund reduction by a certain amount but that would be too small to justify the time-formula possibly.

I believe on the whole that base contribution via influxing credits is an option that could be too often abused.

1) you can't transfer energy between accounts
2) you CAN transfer CTP but it has less of an effect on base contribution
3) you can transfer EM but em accumulates slowly and you have to be quick to donate it.
4) cash can be transferred in the billions and would out-balance contribution percentage IMHO far too much.

The contribution % formulae in order for this to be viable would then in all likely hood have to be dulled down to be worth less %age than energy but more so than ctp contribution perhaps. In any case less emphasis on fund funneling has to be made in order to discourage sudden movement in donations aimed at creating unpleasant advantages in base % contrib list.

a base can always a cap in amount of fund it can hold.
for example, 1000x its upkeep

then it would be just like EM

I do believe technically speaking trading via base was not part of the orginal intent and therefore the trouble this can cause on that aspect is not a problem
