I think that when you are invited to a base fight you should beadle to see all the info before you join. You should see there atk, def, hull shields who is invited who is hitting and for how much and is the base buffed .. if so what buffs are used. The way i see it then the people attacking the base can scan all this info then why can't they send the info in the data logs to who ever they invite. I dont think you should basically go in blind, by the way it currently is set.

You can just ask...unless your allies are trying to lead you into a losing battle, in which case you should probably not be allied with them

The info when you invite is no different from the info you see when you scan. You don't know the stats and such until after you lock the base. I don't see that changing it would be a good thing. If you change the info on invite, you would have to change the info on scan. Then you end up with legions that just lock "guaranteed" kills. That takes away from the excitement of the battle. "Can we kill it or not??"

Darth, you're in TU. I ddn't think you guys thought "can we kill it" anymore, more like "Is it worth killing?"

Yes, that's generally the case, but in the Suggestions forum, I try to look at things with a broader view. "Is this idea good for everyone or just good for me?" That's why you'll see me -1 a lot of ideas, because they cater to a certain demographic. This particular one gets a 0, though. I would like to see the stats of a base before locking, but on the other hand it takes away from the mystery. We keep track of the bases we encounter so often times we already know what a base is like before we lock it, but we only have to worry about the limited number of 5/6/7's. And we intentionally go after bases we've not seen before. For a majority of the legions out there, the sheer numbers of 2/3/4's make our method relatively useless. In general, looking at the legion will give you a good idea of how strong a base may be. How many Aerlens, Lazulis, Fixers, Physicists... How many members and their ranks... How old the legion is... These are all good indicators of how well the base will be defended.

Okay, fair enough.
Personally I join all bases that are shared. Not like I could lose much (anything permanent, anyway) So I give this a +0.75

I give it a +1, As you say the information can be given via officer communication.. so .. since the information can be spoken there is no reason it can't be made nice looking by including it in the base lock invite. as alot of legions allow for regular members to base lock but not view officer chat.. I see no reason why this can't be included..
and while we are at it, I would add a Battle Comm that costs X amount of energy (I would say 25 or so so its not used as a chatting mechanism) that should be used just to post notes and/or strategy for all legions to see in one swoop
