yay q-pedds !
my thought is , wouldn't it be cool if all the players who completed the seasonal missions in the first year , gains access to a better mission next year , and all the others who joined since last year's or didn't complete it only get to do the standard one ? and not only valentine's day , but all the other seasonals like the banes and such
kind of a way to make the seasonals more enticing
imagine a continuation 4 or 5 years from now ........

would be interesting... but i see no reason to penalize new players. the only thing i would suggest is that the module missions be changed from year to year. i really like the new module mission idea. but i dunno... i feel like its wrong to give them out freely to new players, but its also wrong to restrict them to older players. haha, hard to make a compromise.
i still would like to see new missions released every year. but if you already have the modules, then i would like to see a different mission come available, or at least the complex tech value raised to make the mission repetition worth it.
itd be nice to see elites from the holiday races come available tho. haha, perhaps thats year 3's content.

How about you make it the same for all players, vets and newbs. If Dan wants to add a new part in the chain next time around, than leave that as the same for all. But you have to do the previous one, of course, in the alotted season. If you get partway through a mission, but the seasonal time is up, than you have to wait until the next time to finish it, you keep all of your progress from last year.

Add a new mission after the current one each year. That way, they have to get the old one first, but they can get the newer ones if they try hard.

I agree keep the progress from last year and then every one gets a fair chance.

Ah, tis an interesting notion strmavenger. Make an actual holiday mission chain with new missions being added every year... but have all the previous missions stay in. What i would like to add to that though is that we have the option of skipping them the next year if we've already completed them, but we also have the option of redoing them. For example, i did all the permafrost subnetwork missions last year. I also did them again this year. Now i have 28 permafrosts in my cargo (used a couple, recovered a couple). However, i do not intend to redo this qpedd mission next year if the reward is the same, nor do i intend to do the scruuge module mission again next year if the reward is the same. What i would like to see is a <Next Mission> button next to the continue box for the mission if youve already finished it once. That way, if youve already done it, you can skip it. Or, redo it. but thats just my opinion.
