Population Evolution Artifact

Planetary Time Vortex x25
Planet Vortex Deflector x25
Space Elevator x25
Energy: 50

Effect: Increases the max colony age from peaked to evolved, increasing production bonus to 120%

if this is permanent, then yes. i would indeed like about 100 of these to boost my production. :P nice idea!

Not bad, I like it. Definite awesomeness there.

Interesting, but of questionable value considering the millions of research points needed for a great many legions to unlock it.

I'm sure The Dysonians and many other legions will suffer greatly from it...

 oh well if they want it they can get it, better for us lower legions i think +1

While i agree that it will more likely than not cost several million in research to unlock at the minimum, i feel the rewards gained from an artifact like this would outweigh the costs. Imagine an extra 20% production on all your best planets... including artifact and research. That to me would make it worth trying for this artifact in the ct lab. Its like having an extra 4 intraphasic hoveroids on every planet... with a zero build space.

I'd love that artifact on every planet.

That being the case, I think it's way too strong. Great idea, but far unbalanced.

+0.5, might be overpowered.

how's it overpowered? it follows along with the population growth as if it were a part of it (ie 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%...)

except that population age bonus is the second thing accounted for in the production equation whereas the intraphasic hoveroid would be the last, therefore there would be less of a boost by pct. if this evolution thing would be put into effect, so that way it's bonus is only amplified by resource richness. So this arti wouldn't be as powerful (by pct.) as the intraphasic hoveroid. Although it would offer a larger bonus.

For those that are failing math... this is a 10% boost, not 20%
(1+120%)/(1+100%)=220%/200%=110%
this is a smaller effect than 2 extra hoveroids (110%<105%^2)
and considering I assume this goes poof if the planet changes hand....

it's not as OP as it might first seem(thou possibly still OP~ that's where price management comes in)
Further nerfing includes, but not limited to:
can only be used on colony of certain age(for example, half a year) and/or calm colony of certain length of time
reducing it to 110% (instead of 120%)
make it more expensive

If nerfing is still needed anyway... but I do wanna see something like this...

And for bigger legions... u can always find some other smaller legion and use their CTL, maybe in exchange of letting their ppl use urs~ (foreign exchange program ftw?)

If the vulnerability of the planet is going to be a focal point of justification, I would want the effect to not work on invincible planets. 10% production boost with no chance of ever losing it.

why should it matter if the planet can change hands or not? thats like saying dont let any ct lab structure be built on invincibles... because they can never change hands... honestly, i see no problem with this being used on invincibles. most planets dont change hands very often. just because 5 planets are guarenteed to never change hands, dosnt mean those planets should be penalized.

I agree with vekno here.
Infact, invincible planets are more likely to be evolved than non-invincibles. Without living in fear of attack, it would allow the colony to evolve and learn quicker.
