Suggestion: A temporary comm created for all the legions that have locked onto a base so they can coordinate hits.

Reason: Battle Pacts are not very useful right now. In the case when bases get disabled, one legion often does the heavy lifting while the other legions simply sit back and enjoy the spoils. This seems to go against the purpose of battle pacts. In the case when bases survive, it is often not because the legions combined could not destroy it, but because no one legion could do it themselves and due to an inability to coordinate, people are gun shy and don't want to waste energy.

You may say "create a FB page to coordinate". Not so fast - different legions have different battle pacts. You would have to create a bunch of FB pages with overlapping members.

A temporary "base comm" would be much better and make base battles/defense much more exciting.

Or only invite legions that pull their own weight.

I am not gonna lie, this made me laugh. They are so valuable atm. Just go look what the Triumvirate does.

If you want to do something like this with battle pacts you need to get a core group of allies and be fully'ed allied with them and really only them. This way you don't have to worry about things like locking an ally's ally's base. That can be very annoying but if you get a really great alliance set up then you should be set up good. It may take some work to do but I think it would be worth while.

Also, Talking about the FB group, Leader/Officers only, Otherwise there are too many members, and spy prone.

I have to second Mojo's and Exterm's comments. Our group hunts together. EVERY time. We don't have any other legions that we fight with "sometimes." We've got an FB group set up with ONLY Leaders and Officers (and a couple experienced and well respected regular members). We don't have every single member of all our legions on it. We discuss what kind of target we're looking for, who is doing the scans, which base out of the ones scanned we're going to target, whether the base we did lock ends up being worth the effort, etc. It's very efficient.

while it is better to have tight knit(or rather ideally) pact groups such that they always hunt together...
the senario in OP does NOT in anyway prove that battle pact is of little value
In fact, battle pact can still be valueable even IF for each base battle ONE legion is pulling the main weight while rest just tag for spoils
Case: legion A, B, C all have pacts with each other. Assume the target of the following fights are of similiar difficulties
Base fight 1: A pulls weight, B, C tags
Base fight 2: B pulls weight, A, C tags
Base fight 3: C pulls weight, A, B tags
In the end, each legion was able to tag twice and earn free rewards, each legion all pulled a fair share of weight overall
I think this is perfectly fine.

On the other hand, if one legion ALWAYS tags, it's time to drop it from ur pact group, that's not a problem in design, but a problem in your choice of pact partners

And as previously mentioned, there is always fb group for any operations that require serious planning

Thats another thing. I never got just tagging a base in a fight. Whats the point? You don't get many badges and you have a much lower chance of a crate. I strive to get in the top five and normally for the top spot. In fact in this last fight I did 1.1M damage to it. I had a 100% chance of a crate and got six badges from it. Worth while in the end. Not only that but because I have been saving my terminals for a while and had 41 of them I got well over 2M research from them as well.

Not everyone has your firepower Mojo...

Twice, I've managed top 25 in level 5 base battles. Both times I've either invested real money, or I've used a stockpile of nanos, TMs and TME. 1 I got a tri-phase, the other I got nothing. Being rank 130+, there is little I can do except tag or invest real money, and get nothing for it.

I can get that I figured that most lower ranking legions where filled with members around the same rank on avg. I can't say I really know how it is in lower ranking legions since I've never really been in one before. But I know if I was lower in rank I would try to join a legion with members around my size so we could all do around the same amount of damage to a base and even if I wasn't one of the strongest in there it would give me something to work towards.
