I don't know if i'm the only one but i'm starting to hate when i have a bricked planet(50K defense,24k attack) And I have over 10+ Lvl 200 and under actually able to do damage against it,One damage may not be much but it adds up.
I'm suggesting that the minimum damage is lowered to 0, Realistically a tiny scout would do nothing against a massive, well defended planet. I know that having a high population counters this but sometimes that isn't an option on a smaller planet,I"m just getting annoyed at having planets weakened by players 150 ranks below me.

Then "realistically", my Colossal Galaxy Destroyer should depopulate a weakly defended planet in one or two shots. The MinDam is the game equivalent of precision bombing.

-1. Evidence so far (e.g. stackable debuffs) points to Dan wanting little/low-ranked ships to have the possibility, however unlikely, to beat bigger/higher-ranked ships.

No for 4 reasons:
1.
how many ppl can deal a damage of 1 if the planet defence is 150-200k?
it takes an attack power of 30-40k to always deal dmg
it takes an attack power of 11-15k to have a chance to deal damage

and 150-200k is hardly the max amount of defence a planet can have, it's more like 250-300k (I did calculate max invasion D to be a bit over 400k or something, but that included some attacks like passive attack so I really can't be sure)
and this is WITHOUT GUARDS.
a vortexed(can't wormhole) planet can have millions of defence... is it really logical to make a planet effectively gain immunity?

2.
A properly bricked planet, on top of stated stat AT LEAST, should also have 3-4k population. that is 3-4k shots at 15-20k energy AT LEAST. In between that, it's about 300-500 repairs, which split between 10 ppl is either 3-4 hours(which is another 200ish pop so another thousand of energy, if it was not detected) or 30-50 nanos each. Not very realistic. unless they hate you, they probably won't spend that much effort on a single planet.
why would they hate you? maybe you stole the planet in the first place? I don't think robbers have a right to complaint in anyway whatsoever. unless u feel the game should be one where the big players should be able to take whatever they want and the others should have no chance of getting them back at all?

3.
Even thou the smaller ships can knock down, they will have little chance to invade it. If they couldn't do dmg to the planet after the change it means they have 2.5% or less chance of invade. with decimaters might be 3%. And that's if the planet is DEFENCE ONLY. if your planet have attack power like the one stated... 2% chance tops each. after thousands of energy spent and only get 15% or so chance total... not an endevear I would take personally, I'd rather sell it.
And even if they succeed, chances are you can invade it back much easier...
the small planet excuse? 2 Qs: why do you care about small planets? why would anyone spend this much effort on a small planet?
sure smalller planet might have lower def and pop so it's easier than 15-20k, but if it's below 10k energy required, it's ur problem

4. realistically you say? I'll crush 1 trillion scout drones into your planet, even if you shoot them all and they all explodes, the debris and/or pollution alone will make ur planet inhibitable.

Oh, and a lv 200ish can have 4-5k atk ez, they can do dmg to 50k def, thou only ~1/3 of the time.

although it is unfortunate that 5 attack can cause 1 damage to a planet with 50k defense, thats what population structures are for. Now, i'll admit, i didnt see the purpose to population structures before i joined the unknown, but they definitely showed me some tips on how to defend a planet. Think of it this way, if you sacrifice say, 10k defense (since theyre all under 200, it shouldnt make a difference) then you can add a few hundred population to the planet, and that would cause them to have to burn 500+ energy per 100 population if its sufficiently bricked.

Honestly, i like it the way it is. The only structure in game that i've seen where you can cause zero damage is when planets attack you back with no attack, or if you are attacking a MUCH weaker ship that has several kvs tripped. But, imo planets should remain the same.
