I really don't understand why the Krionite Torpedo is not scrappable. At a minimum the option to scrap the torpedo should be available, even if it is for zero value.
Consider the issue:
Me: "Time to go into the old cargo hold and get rid of the useless stuff. Hmm... clone pods, weapon resource probes, ah, some kronite torpedos."
Krionite Torpedo: "No."
Me: "... what? Did you say something?"
Krionite Torpedo: "No. You can't scrap me."
Me: "Sure I can. I have a hammer."
Krionite Torpedo: "I'll explode."
Me: "So? What are you going to do, cause my shields to drop? I have a whole room of shield restorers."
Krionite Torpedo: "If you scrap me, you won't get any credits."
Me: "I have 150 billion credits, and that's my low point for the last three months."
Krionite Torpedo: "If you scrap me, I will come back stronger than you could ever realize."
Me: "That's Star Wars. This is Galaxy Legion."
Krionite Torpedo: "I am your father."
Me: "Star Wars again."
Krionite Torpedo: "If you try to scrap me, I will spontaneously lubricate and INSERT MYSELF somewhere. Somewhere you do not want me to insert myself."
Me: "..." (backs away slowly)
Krionite Torpedo: "Yeah, that's what I thought."
Clearly based on this REAL LIFE EXAMPLE, Krionite Torpedos should be scrappable.

That was absolutely hilarious, I wish I could favorite a thread.
Also, I don't see why they shouldn't be scrappable.

-1 To making them scrappable, just for the sole reason to strike fear in peoples cargo holds.

Hmmm... what if, when scrapped, they actually get used on a random player?

Scrapping something generally suggests that you are selling the bits and pieces for credits or farming the item for the complex technology inside (CTP). It's not really scrapping it if you stuff it into a torpedo bay and launch it randomly in the direction of the shipping lanes. Although, it would finally deplete my supply of them...

Ha, would be fun if he scrapped them during a base fight or w/e that your all joining in on and all your own allies shields get depleted .

I think you should just fire them off in random directions, and pray you don't hit a Paladin.

Or just fire them off in random directions, and not care who they hit

I just worked out a logic for no good reason... KT are made of a material that causes a spacial disruption around it and drain shield force that way(or somthing like that) When KT is scrapped it's possible to accidentally detonate KT in the "wrong" way such that it falls through a rift in space into some kind of sub space. While in this sub space, KT(or rather what is left of it) is attracted to spacial signature of shields, thus it might rift the space again and land on top of some ship with shields, and then react and drain the shield of the ship. While this accident doesn't always happen, the KT core material is unstable enough that it happens fairly often
