I made a forum account just to give this suggestion. I just reset, and started pvping, strictly bt only. Yesterday, I was alerted in a legion for bt hit. Unjust, right? Then today, I was alerted again by another one! Actually, not one, but TWO different people from different legions. Unfair is the word I think of.

So, we need a way to fix this so low ranks can't abuse the alert system because of "Boohoo, you disabled my ship!". My idea is this: Make it so that you cannot alert a ship UNLESS they have attacked you more than once per 12 hours. Now, I know most people go for a red and yellow, or just a blue, so it would be like this: a ship is allowed to attack you once per color badge, anymore than that, and your option of alerting will be opened.

I think you need to (A) man up and (B) realize that low rankers have no clue what the heck they are doing.

Here's just one example of why this idea is bad: Legion Wars. You want to be able to hit the Legion Alert button on your sworn enemies if they even trip off a trap. Limiting alert ability to what you suggest, pretty well ruins legion wars, because nobody is going to be able to alert anyone.

Please, enlighten me on why I need to man up? What exactly am I supposed to do when I can't defend myself, and people over 100+ in rank are whalin away on me, just barely over rank 20? Not much at all, there is no combating that.

If not put that there, then why not add an addendum to the tutorial everyone gets when they start off? Right now, the pvp section of the starting tutorial is severly lacking.

If people are alerting you too often, join a relatively powerful legion with good leaders who can sort it out diplomatically.

So what's the problem, tell your leaders they'll sort it out, if they don't alert the offender and get them destroyed. Simple.

But what if someone on my KoS hits me off the BT? I want to alert them!

well, what should I do then? I can't fight without getting alerted, so should I just stop pvping altogether? It doesn't seem fair that my gameplay has to change all because people can't figure out how and when to use a button.

Okay. Now, I'm not advising you stop PvP. You only have to look at my position on the killsboard to know that. What I'm saying is, be prepared to step on a few toes, make a few enemies and get badge alerted.

Do disables by someone much higher than me count against me? And I can't pvp when everytime I repair, I get disabled again...

It does get added to your deaths from players stat, but as far as stats go it's unimportant.

how much does it really hurt to be alerted a couple time anyway?
do they zero you everytime? even if they do, u don't really have much to lose, ur AP/MP/RP bar is probably pretty short
this isn't a game where u lose a ton when u die, so this is hardly important.
This isn't anything u need to change play style over
And only noobs really care about pvp ratings. most of us stare at ship builds

And there is always diplomatic solutions, and if that fails, alert them back and let the other type of diplomacy kick in.
There are actully legion that would punish the person who alerted if it was just a badge, u r hardly required to fight all the biggons that hits on u alone.

I'm not worried about my rating, I could care less about that. But everyone is telling me that I need to get my dom cannons, and apparently if you don't get them, you look bad. Can't get them without fighting

Btw, just got attacked again. They commed me and told me that they don't care if it was a bt hit.

Some don't. Just stay down, and repair when you go to PvP.

why do you care that they attacked u then?
I get attacked pretty often after a badge run, I shrug it off
I just make sure that my invasions and my badge runs don't happen within 24 hours of each other, because it would really hurt to be zeroed when ur actions are "up there" to start with....

I think the reason why he cares, and feel free to tell me if I'm wrong, is that everytime he repairs to pvp, he gets knocked down again. I had the same problem when I was small, that why I only have two of my MKIII.

But I have to agree with Darth, the little ones are usually mindless idiots who have no clue. And usually, the legions that don't care whether or not it was a badge hit or not are the small legions. Fight either people who aren't in a legion, one man legions, or big legions. They either 1) can't alert or 2) know the deal.

there is an action limit... so what if he can only badge once every 5 min? at his lvl, his energy won't allow much more frequent badging anyway.
and it's not gonna happen everyday, so I won't get my knick knacks in a knot over it. (ah, silent ks)

You need to man up and accept that it is part of the game, and stop crying all over the forum about it.
