Ok I know there have been similar ideas hell I have posted some of them myself, just too lazy to look for them. But to Dan what about having a few more planets like EXOTICA…. That provides the legion holding them with a bonus to stats. Have one planet be an atk bonus, one a defensive bonus, cloaking, and so on. And by having so many available would be hard for just one legion to hold them all, but have a ter bonus for having say 3 of them and then another ter if 6 and so on. And each planet will be imue to artifacts like exotica. So instead of a star base we could have these rare planets that offer boost to all are stats including planetary boost like mining research, added cloking to all your planets and so on. So in theory say about 10 planets to start, one percent bonus nothing major 2%-7% for each stat on the ship, and one for each planet resource available on the planet. any thoughs and or coments welcom more to follow gona draft this idear out on paper to explain in more. |

Great idea. Would definitely encourage PVP to bring the advantage to your legion. |

Excellent idea! Adding unique planets that offer some strategic legion-wide values sounds nice. That'll add more dimension to strategy game with strategic points in place that every legions can compete for.. Some unique planets also need to be able to provide weaker legions ability to own that stronger legions couldn't such as immune to strong legions for ownership or something.. It'll promote PVP value at low rank area that strong legions couldn't have.. It balances things out I believe.. I'm sure Dan can think up of great way to prevent a strongest legion to monopolize everything.. Maybe limit one or two unique planets per legion or something so if a legion really wants that specific planet to fit their own goals etc then they could fight for it then own it then they are satisfied letting other unique planets competed by other legions. That also is balanced approach.. |

Hey. I had some time to think of legion-based planets.. Idea: Introduce entirely new Planet or station database tab along with existing player's planet database (benefit only to individual players).. Add new legion-only planets, starbases, outposts, military fortresses, etc to be discovered OR built by legions only that are open for any invasion or legion-ownership transfer. For example, If we found an unique planet, any of us in same legion can capture or colonize it and it becomes a property of the legion without that invader's name on it. That way, we won't have too much power in hands of single players. So that way any legions members can quit and join other legions without taking those legion-based planets/starbase, etc with them.. Those legion-based planets, starbase, etc can give tangable permanent bonus to legion members as a whole. It could produce something like unique legion-based economy that allows legion administration (leaders and officers) to research legion-tech tree and build new legion-based structures over time.. That will introduce nice legion vs legion warfare as new facet of Galaxy Legion. Introduce legion-based level system that helps to limit the number of planets, stations, etc just like player-based planets are limited by player's rank.. Right now, I captured Exotica just for the Dysonians without any real benefit for me (zero production for myself) as capital planet. But the problem lies within that idea is that if I died or quit game or join other legion, I take Exotica with me or I have to abandon it to transfer it to next leader of The Dysonian (Of course I won't leave but just an example).. That'll be too much power in hands of one player.. My idea above to introduce whole new dimension of legion-based structures, level, etc will be tied with the job position and the legion that will be much more adaptable in the long run. |

sounds like another thing that would be awesome if there wasnt a single entity to monopolize it if it was added ASAP. Though I think it would be better if there was more KOH planets that became available to legions (and their memebers) once certian stats were met so that the planets could be Bracketed. As well as limits on the planets like artifact uses/# of guards. |

Single entity cannot monopolize if it is limited by legion level exactly the same way as powerful players cannot monopolize GL with planets.. There are plentiful of good planets for anyone to have access to and more new planets are kept being added.. Heck, PSICORE is highest ranked player and its certainly impossible for him to monopolize planets.. The same concept applies to legion levels that restricts the numbers of legion-based objects such as planets, stations, etc.. Higher legion level, more objects they can have but open for ownership transfer by other legions if they discovered that object.. Other way, we could have made legion-based objects purely PVE by boosting our legion's power via safe way but GL is wild west type so PVP would be more interesting in mixture of PVE from NPCs too.. |

I agree with Cothordin. Since it is difficult to get an equilibrium in the legions power. there would be too many taken by one legion. So the idea would work with let's say a legion planets cap, say 2 legion planets max per legion. The biggest legions would fight for the best bonus planets but a lower legion would still have a chance to get a good bonus one. and Yes I like the idea of having a bonus applied to the whole legion, if a legion member owns such planet. |

Yes as Nocifer Deathblade added above you would need to limit the ones you could control. Making it a strategic choice on what you wanted to take over for your bonus. Further more only give the base bonus to those that are guarding the actual planet. |

Ok, thought about this one for a while, and here are my thoughts: I love this idea. Worlds that everyone can see is a GREAT idea, and makes sense within the fiction of the universe. There have to be places that everyone knows about, right? You already have six options for planets, the homeworlds! One for each of the six selectable starter races. Audience with High Council could give you access to that world. Currently, it has no other reward besides great xp, and opening up the next mission in the chain. It would also be prudent to make all the worlds discoverable at some point, so perhaps a series of diplomatic missions would be in order. Also, it is possible to change your race, but I think that whatever planet or planets you've already unlocked would remain the same. Possible examples (assuming a limit on how many defenders can be at a planet - if all 50 members can defend, then these numbers are out of whack): Aarlena - Very Large Oceanic Planet, 8x Mining, 13x Artifact, 13x Research, +1.5% Defense Bonus to entire legion for each defender Earth - Large Terra Planet, 9x Mining, 16x Artifact, 12x Research, +1% to all experience gains for entire legion for each defender Inergo - Massive Crystal Planet, 9x Mining, 11x Artifact, 10x Research, -1 second from energy recharge rate for entire legion for each defender Qularne - Very Massive Terra Planet, 9x Mining, 12x Artifact, 7x Research, +1% Attack Bonus to entire legion for each defender Sillis - Very Massive Desert Planet, 10x Mining, 10x Artifact, 10x Research, -10 seconds from share timer for entire legion for each defender Vygonne - Massive Metal Planet, 10x Mining, 7x Artifact, 13x Research, +1% Research Bonus to entire legion for each defender Then, there are several planets in other mission chains that we all visit...why not include them as bonus planets? And of course, plenty of other ideas I know all you guys have thought of for planets, all with missions that are necessary to unlock them. Let's put them in a list for Dan! |
