My idea is simple:
Dan creates a new restricted sub forum for players that have actually purchased GP's thus supporting Dan/GL. (minimum purchase amount determined by Dan)

I used read the board all the time. I don't find it as useful as it was in the past. I cannot imagine how Dan finds time to keep up with the board.

I would be very interested in the views and talk of the people that actually spent money on GL (or in other words put money into Dan's pocket). This might even be another way to encourage players to buy GP's with real money.

Alot of people would view that as favoritism and alot of people would get upset by it. You have to remember that alot people can't afford to pay. Also, taking the time to create and manage a new forum would take alot of time out of making the game.

Not really. TU has a nearly identical forum system to this one and I set up an extra forum for outside traders to use while not being able to see the rest of the forums. Took all of about 5 minutes and I don't know what I'm doing with php. Someone more skilled than me would have no problems whatsoever. Keep the same mods.

The problem would be determining who was qualified for access, as our game profiles are not linked to our forum profile.

So? It's a completely separate entity from this. How many legions have FB pages? No different, we're just more organized.
