Post subject:  New Idea's For NPC Bases(Similar to XRP Warp Station)

Input Is Appreciated. These are designed primarily as something new for those who have been playing for a while and who like to see new NPC's added, especially those with new rewards.

No names for the Base NPC's, but Race is provided.

The rank range of all these bosses would be 500 - 9999. 2 Day Timer. 3000 Cloak.

Sha'din Base NPC(12 Person Elite)

Hull: 350,000
Shields: 250,000
Atk: 12,000
Def: 14,000

Abilities:

Sha'din Overload - Decreases Enemy Attack 25% for 30 Minutes

Drops:

25% - Ruptured Spacial Field - Planet Artifact: Increases Passive cloak +200(Max of 3000)
30% - Exothermic Gravity Device - Planet Artifact: Increases Passive Defense +200(Max of 3000)
45% - Hired Temporal Researchers - Provides 5 hours Research

Dark Smugglers Guild Base NPC(10 Person Elite)

Hull: 450,000
Shields: 200,000
Atk: 13,500
Def: 10,000

Abilities:

Dark Nullify - Decreases Enemy Attack 25% for 15 Minutes

Drops:

10% - Dark Smugglers Cache - Provides 8 Hours Worth of Minerals/Artifacts/Research
45% - Dark Temporal Device - Planetary Building: Size 1: Def 800 Cloak 230(Max 1 Per Planet) - Scrap Rate - 29-58 CTP
45% - Dark Dimension Engine - Ship Module: Size 28: Def 250(Ship Limit - 4) - Scrap Rate - 29-58 CTP

Stryll Base NPC(15 Person Elite)

Hull: 600,000
Shields: 300,000
Atk: 12,000
Def: 18,000

Abilities:

Heavy Stryll Disruption - Decreases Enemy Defense 40% for 20 minutes

Drops:

45% - Rescued Stryll Prisoners - Provides 6 Rank Points
50% - Stryll Holding Cell - Planetary Building: Size 2: Atk:1500 +10% Attack(Max 2 Per Planet) - Scrap Rate - 29-58 CTP
5% - Stryll Weapons Crate - Artifact: Provides 1 Tac Officer for each Weapons Module Online


Crimson Blades Base NPC(8 Person Elite)

Hull: 400,000
Shields: 0
Atk: 18,000
Def: 9,000

Abilities:

Weapon Overload - Increases attack by 20% for 1 hour
Suppression Fire - Decreases enemy attack 20% for 30 minutes

Drops:

15% - Crimson Photon Cannon - Ship Module - Size 18: Attack +150(Ship Limit - 4) - Scrap Rate - 29-58 CTP
40% - Crimson Deflector - +20% Hull(24 Hours - Immune to Containment Missile)
45% - Crimson Lab Chassis - Upgrades a Refining Lab Chassis, doubling all bonuses and providing +500 attack. - Scrap Rate - 29-58 CTP

I like it!

Couple minor things though... I think the % on Rescued Stryll Prisoners is a little bit high, maybe 30/65/5 split would be better. And the Dark Dimension Engine and Crimson Photon Cannon... Would these replace the Dark Phase Engine and Korteth Twin Blasters (respectively) or be in addition to those?

So many of the drops are over powered .

But its cool . maybe make the drops weaker .

Yes they would be upgrades to those modules. Yeah i was thinking that the prisoner ratio might be a little high, but they're a great prize.

I know they kinda seem overpowered, and to some extent i guess they are, but i would say given the damage needed is 50k+ that they kinda need to be.

Is there a specific drop which you feel is especially overpowered, like maybe the temporal researchers or stryll holding cells?

I won't argue that... Make them too common and they lose their luster. I personally love seeing "Woot!" in the chat from the ones that get them. Just like MSPs... When you were only getting one every few days, you got excited. When you get 5-10 per day... They're Meh...

like the idea, how about making the timer for these really short e.g 1 hour before the npc expires therefore legions have to work quickly to defeat them

These are actually great ideas! They are not too overpowered as the requirement to FIND AND to LOCK is high, So you get a reward for efforts...

Maybe one for the Silthion too ? :P

35% - Silthion Phasic-Plating - Ship Module: Size 13 Hull +200 - Scrap Rate - 29-58 CTP

Terranian Transwarp Hub(5 Person Drop)

Temporal Jump - Halves The Time Left To Disable This NPC(One Time Occurance)

Cuts timer in half. I'd hate to see the #&$# storm of complaints if it jumped out right before the 5th person kills it just because it already had less than 24 hours remaining.

i like those, well thought out details...
drops are abit overdone, but again, it is wast amount of energy to push in there...


in edition to that, maybe double amount of slots and make it possible to share over your Battle pact, which also would be cool :)

reason i am saying that it could be sharable via Battle pact, is that there is pretty a few legions where you have few guys above that range (500+ i mean) so all they can do with it, is purge or let go, which kinda sucks to be honest

I don't mind the idea of allowing Base NPC's to be shared via battle pact(separate share option on NPC tab), as it can be a pita if you find one of these huge NPC's and your maybe 1 of 3 or 4 or maybe the only guy who can even see the damned thing.

The number of slots would need to stay as they are though.
