I once saw a player with a laughable combat reputation (I think it was about 5 player kills, 120 disables from other players) but he had a very high NPC kill score (About 300), So I was thinking why not have npc's count towards your battle rep. To ballance this, as some npcs are easier that others, have the easy or common NPC's = 1/3 of a player kill, uncommon = 1/2, rare = 1, elete = 2.

What do you think?

What do I think? I think too many people worry too much about combat reputation when it's a completely meaningless statistic and it should be completely eliminated.

What darth said and 300 is not a lot of NPC kills , I have 12K and I'm a light NPC hunter.

The only reason he had 300 NPC's is he was a rank 80

Yeah, and since base combat and the high rank missions started, I've been spending my energy on that stuff and PvP (for da reds) so I have "only" 38k NPC kills. Any way you look at things, Combat Rep is pointless. I have an Insane rep. Why? Because I need red badges for Dominion Cannons and Base Scanning. That means I need A LOT of them. Where do you get a lot of reds? By taking out the easiest, juiciest targets for the least amount of energy so you can move on to the next chew toy. Not many people on the Kills leaderboard will admit it, but a good 75-80% at least are farmers. Given a choice between a Laughable Lazuli Fixer and an Insane Human Explorer when I need red badges, that Lazuli is getting bumped and the Human is getting disabled because it will most likely take significantly less energy.

As I said before... Eliminate Combat Reputation altogether.

Amen....

though an easy way to get badges is to have a laughable rep, cause thats where everyone flocks, make the system work for you i guess.
