There are races to increase mineral, artifact and research production why can't there be a race to increase size of planets?

It is needed , but as rare as dan makes upping planet size it would most likely have a 1 week cool down.

How about a race that has mastered the ability of making things smaller. This race would have an increased planet space size of say 20% or 30%. allowing you to put more on the planet. or bettter yet forget the % and just make it a flat number of 12.....

I can see you say it would be overpowered, but it could be an ability which needs 1000ctp to use, so people won't be able to use it a lot, and a large cooldown and a very large amount of energy needed to complete the missions, it is needed.

The other issue is that people would use this instead of the GP item, meaning that Dan loses money. If Dan loses money, he's not implementing it, probably no matter how good the idea is.

we have quasi-spacial expanders, moons and other various artefacts to make planets bigger or increase space on them

I dont think that Dan would lose to much money over this, you still need the QSE's to do the dyson / rift missions.

And if he did impliment it, he could make it a pay to play chain similar to that mission chain,

HOWEVER I still think that this is a bad idea.

what COULD be nice racial additions if we really feel like we need them are:

planet / resource:
ability to "warp dimensions", when a planet has a temporary effect on it, i.e. blockade, mineral deposit etc. they can 1/day use this ability to get another random temporary ability. - Please note, temporary planet effect ONLY

"displaced" 1/40 hours, planet doubles all resource production for 24 hours

"Psychic Flux" 1 / week you can flux a planet that you own from all others database, you must have owned the planet for at least 2 months.

"Dark Planet" The planets of ______________ race gain +50% cloak

Ship:
"psychic Assault" ship gains +50% to invasion and raiding

+50% shield

It's funny, When people did suggest something similar to Talth, Kronyn and Mylarai people said the exact same things...

Well if dan and everyone else thinks its too overpowered it could always be limited to say a massive or very large size, i just dont see the difference between this potential race and other races that increase production, you could just get a very massive planet and increase its production

I think this has a strong validation. You say its to over powering, but frankly so are the other races. I mean all the planets at x18??
You say we have Quasi-Spacial Expander. But you have artifacts that increase the planet resources too, and yet we have the farmers that will tell you there are many NPCs to grab those from.
If its a money issue then make the mission something you have to buy artifact for.
as for the 1000KU, no offence that's nothing. there are players that rake that in per day.
I think that it has a strong validations, the exact details would have to be worked on.
(P.S, the passive would be bigger ship size, ?)

Planets have a max out that you can kick production. Im SURE!! dan can make a max out for planet size?

Making it high priced wouldn't balance it, it would just make it only feasable for the upper echelons of players able to do this consistently and make strong players stronger.

I would be interested in seeing a race with this ability, but perhaps cap their size ability to make a planet very large or massive. Still need expander to get to very massive.

The 1000ctp was just an earlier idea, i see that it is flawed anyway, for it to work it would have to be in proportion with someones rank on the cost, but as i said earlie probably the fairest would be to cap it at massive or if it is still too powerful then just very large

he would not loose any money..... you would still have to do all the mission stuff all this idea would do is increase the planet size bonus by 12.... IE a 21 planet would have size 33.......all the way to the mega colossal getting 81 and with the ability 93.... nothing new would change only get the benefit of more space for the new race being.... I do not et how you would say he would loose any money it changes nothing but the amount of space on a planet lol...think before you criticize with no facts on a matter.... if anything he would make money because people would have more room to fit things onto there planet and a reason to buy more of the ones from he market.

+1 to a race ability to expand planet size to massive, or even V-large (no matter how long the cool down would be, but the usual 40 hours would be cool)
