Not sure if this has ever come up, but what about a mission that oh say gives you 5 artifacts that pays your upkeep for 1 day. For those days where you might have done a little over spending.  _________________

im not worried about my stuff breaking really, all i want is to not have to pay the upkeep for a week or so, so that i can build my funds up a bit quicker and take more planets  _________________

i would have to sale everything off and buying it back would be ridiculously expensive, as would repairing it all after breaking it.
