I'm purely toying with the idea, so feel free to tell me it's bad.

How about a lottery system in the game, where each day, a player can buy a ticked for, say, 10,000,000 Credits, Their will be one winner each day, who takes home the sum off all the losing players ticked sales. Just an idea for getting rid of money fast

I'd like to see something like this..
Sure your legion can always shoot you some cash, if their nice, but what if your not in a legion... and play without friends..(like a time killer)
It would help low levels who need cash, and the occasional higher rank whos short for upkeep... dont lie, it does happen folks.

Could be a fairly good idea, though i would suggest a credit number based somehow on the rank of the participant, rather than a fixed number. someone who is a very low rank wont be able to afford it, and for the higher ranks, there's almost no gamble, as 10.000.000 credits is nothing when you get to the higher ranks.

For me, im at over 6.7 billion a day in upkeep, with the builder and 3 dark assembly-bots.

you misunderstand.. its not supposed to be the be all end all debt issues.. just a lil help. and its the sum of ALL the players tickets... 100 people buy tickets, thats 10mill X 100.... 1000 people... 1000X 10 mill// you check how many people are playing and just guess how much you could potentially receive.

I would agree with the lottery. So what if 10m is like "nothing" for higher levels? I knew of a rich kid who bought hundreds of lottery tickets and won $10k; he was a little excited but not as much as I would have been.

i would love this idear but would rather the tickes be bought in ctp...... and its 1 ctp per ticket... buy as many as you want and the winner get all the ctp!!!!!!

its a lottery.... random draw if he wants to wast a lot to have a very slim chance at wining go for it....

He (and a few others) could buy thousands of tickets, and guarantee themselves a good chance of winninng

but if your so i rate about us uber players being able to by so many tickets.... limit it to only 10 tickets per player. now everyone has same chances!!!!

I would only enter if there was a limit to the number purchased.
also.. i would enjoy an option of lotteries. with a max of 5 or 10 tickets per person.
one for credits. which could be paid out daily.
one for CTP (100ctp per bid) which could be paid out weekly. (to allow lower ranks to get the ctp, as well as give you something to look forward too)

and possibly a planet type of lottery.. i dont know how hard it would be to program, but lets pretend its SUPER EASY and works like this.

everyone donates ONE UNOCCUPIED planet scan into the 'system', as their bid, these planets can still be colonized as normal while waiting to be paid out (and 'uploaded' into the winners system.
But the planet MUST be within ONE production level of the best quality for the planet type, OR BETTER (if for some reason you abandoned a x6 icy or something..

I'm not sure how long it should be before payout on this one.... a month is kinda long to wait and a lot can happen to those planets ante'd up as bids... but thats also a bit of a challenge for those of us who like to steal misowned planets. (small joke there)

Maybe expand this to two planet lotteries.. one for the above planets.
and one for 'worked on' planets..(which have been abandoned)
your planet must be ATLEAST X5 in one or more resources to qualify.
also upon entering the planet as a bid, ITS auto purged from EVERYONES scans. to keep people from donating X planet, and just colonizing it or having your friend who alerted it for you, taking it back and bricking it.

This would keep things lively I'm thinking. also, upon receiving your winnings for planet scans, I know you're all wondering what you do with 3000 extra planets on scan.. You also receive 3/4 of the total payout, worth of purgers.. since you cant share those, and everyone will want to get ride of those planets they dont want, you'll use them asap im thinking.
