Achievements are something that gives people something to reach for, but what would achievements be if there where no rewards? Therefore an achievement system that gives you a certant reward for how dificult the accomplishment is, would make the game more interesting. Some Achievements i would consider is the "round number" achievements, that you get when you are in lvl 50, 100, 150, 200 ect. But other than these you could add achievements like: You have just research Heavy Obviator Shields and completed this chain, therefore you are given the "Obviator Defender" achievement... or something like that ![]() Like i said before, what would achievemts be, without rewards? Therefore i suggest that for each achievement there will be a reward given acording to the dificulty of the achievement. Lets say you get the "Lvl 50 reached" achievement, then you might get 10k researchpoints, because it is a relatively easy achievement. But if you get the "Obviator Defender" achievement you could get like 50 Galaxy Points... I Know what you might be thiking: "I can't give away Galaxy points, that is the way i make money" and i can understand why you might think that, but if we look at the big picture, it doesn't really matter ![]() I've been thinking about some achievement other than the ones i have already mentioned, i was thinking about getting am achievement after every "main chain" like the Kronyn chain and the other ones, and when you get your first Dyson. But there is one thing important by making this achievement system, and that is letting the old players get the achievements they have already earned. Also i would recomend making a new "tab" so the rewards of the achievements could be claimed ![]() And some rewards might be: Getting GL points, research (points or permanently more income), mining (points or permanently more income), artifacts (points or permanently more income), a new planet in the scanning range (for the harder achievements, like fully research in shields you get a Colosal 15x artifact gaia with invincible) or maybe some new devices to your ship? Anyone else got any achievements or comments to my post? Just... well... comment ![]() |

No probz, I never understood how high ranked players are so dedicated to the game, but don't use the forums (PSICore, where arethusa thou?) especially with such good ideas ![]() |

I like this idea, but i think that if we want a chance of it hapening, we need to flesh it out. First, what about people who already have passed the achievements? will they get all the rewards in one hit? Second, i think GP is a bad idea.. sorry man. However, reward artifacts that mimic GP should be fine. I.e A once use artifact for abandoning a planet when 20 planets are colonised, a single use resource massive storage pod when all planet tech is researched, etc. I also think for the most part, rewards should be mild - keep in mind the "mission completion" rewards at the moment. We cant overshine those, paticularly as that is technically what this already is - just more limited in scope. How bout we start workingon a list of achivements and rewards? (remembering that for the most part, they should be low powered) |

here are a few achievements i had in mind: Annihalator: Earn your 1000th kill (Reward X CTP) Master Hacker: Earn your 500th Hack (Reward X RP) Invader: Earn your 15th conquered planet (Reward Special Planet Mod) Lock and Load: Use over 80% of your deckspace for NPCing/PvPing (Reward ???) kleptomaniac: Raid successfully 500 times (Reaward ???) Defender: Successfully disable someone while being attacked (Reward ???) High Roller: Spend 100% of your credit income (Reward ???) The Brave: Disable someone who is 25% higher than your rank (Reward ???) The Cowardly: Disable Someone who is 50% lower than your rank (Reward ???) Precision Hacker: Obtain 5 critical hack successes (Reward ???) Precision Raider: Obtain 5 critical raids (Reward ???) what do you think? |

How hard would to actually be to add each of these into the game, e.g if i went to ship stats and saw a greyed out list off say 1000 badges/achievements to possibly earn and i was a level 1 that would certainly encourage me to stay with the game. I would give a +1 to this idea even if I had no items to gain from completing any achievements simply because it gives us all something to work towards |

I like the idea of an achievement system, but it needs to be really well thought out. There is a certain balance that needs to be maintained on how easy achievements are (don't want them too easy, yet people get discouraged of too hard) and on the rewards (don't want them overpowered or underpowered). |

Only prob with a achievement system is that exsisting players and the higher they are will lose out on alot of low/mid rank achuevements. |

But he thing about this system is that even though you are high rank you get the achievements you already supposed to have earned. Also there is possible to add more achievements for the high lvl people... |

Definitely a cool idea. Just make sure the Trading Centre gets released too! I think there are a lot waiting with baited breath for that one. |
