I don't appreciate the sarcasm there. I made that so people would hopefully stop doing it as often as they do, not so it could be made fun of. Instead of helping, this only makes it seem pointless.

Geez, lighten up. How often do folks joke around on here? I thought your tutorial was cool. I then thought you would get the irony of another post. It's all cool man. No offense intended.

Well, I DO get the joke, but like it or not, a post like this takes away from the serious intentions of my post, making it seem silly. So even though I get it, and others may get it, it still kills most of the point which is to provide informative insights, rather than making it seem like it's pointless common knowledge (which, from what I can tell on these forums, it most certainly is not).

We can all appreciate a joke, just be careful next time what you're joking about. That's all. Just a little more thought put into things will go a long way.

And I have nothing against you personally, I've seen nothing against your record to put you in a "watch this guy" list. Just be careful next time, alright?

Be careful what I am joking about? It was a tutorial. It wasn't cancer or "yo momma" comments. But hey dude, if you are that easily offended, then I won't bother you.

It's just a simple matter of joking about things which aren't meant to help others. The simple presence of this topic, whether you meant it or not, takes away from the point I was trying to use and makes it look not serious.

No, it wasn't joking about cancer, but it's a little inconsiderate to joke about things which are meant as an aid to others, because you're poking fun at the help, even if you don't mean it.

I'm not trying to turn this into a federal case, I'm just trying to give a friendly reminder for the future to be careful.

But you ARE making a big deal out of it, whether you intend to or not. ;)

Also, I am sure you see the irony that the more you post here, the longer this thread gets as opposed to the original.

Let me help you out by posting the other link. For folks who are serious about learning how to avoid duplicate topics go here. It is well written and will answer your questions:

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=22579

Now can we please be done with this?

I'm on the verge of making a suggestion to ban stupid threads like this.
