Quests, I've noted, appear on the quest list when a player achieves prerequisite strengths or milestones, but are otherwise inaccessible.
What I'd like to see is the same availability modifier applied to artifacts, particularly ones that are limited-number quest rewards like the Mass Surface Melter. In other words, after a player has completed the quest's maximum number of repeats, and has acquired all the rewards -- like five Mass Surface Melters -- that the quest reward artifact then become available for purchase by that player. I'd like to get my hands on a few more of them for the interesting icy planets I've acquired since I finished the quest.
It's not as though the artifacts can be traded around, which might promote some abuse, and it's not as though it costs a lot of real money to commit such abuses as a single player. Abuse is going to happen in any game, and currently, unless you're particularly lucky in your artifact harvesting, it's pretty expensive to abuse the game. Furthermore, that expense helps support the game, that the devs might then be able to moderate the abuse.
So, how about it? Might we see quest rewards, after the quest repeats are all finished, as artifacts for sale?
