Post subject:  Half and Quarter Energy Refills revisited

Please!!! Sometimes I feel trapped into either using a full refill or waiting three days so I'm not wasting money. And being jewish, I will almost always choose to wait three days. There have been times where I've been unable to help out my legion simply because I have no energy and there is no way in hell I'm going to spend a dollar to buy 5000 energy when I only need 2000 exp to level. Seriously, how hard could it be to code

Half Refill (5GP)
Quarter Refill (3GP)
or if you really want to be picky
Dime Refill (1GP).


Giving players more options means they'll be more likely to give you money.

Half Refill (5GP)
Quarter Refill (3GP)

Yes to partial refill, but I feel that they should be more expensive per energy to have an incentive to full refill or dan would likely not accept it and it just goes against my natural instincts of bulk purchase concepts XD
I'd say 6-7 for 50%, 4 for 25% and maybe 2 for 10% if that's included.

I think dan would see more people buying energy if there was a half fill at 5Gp. At 6 it becomes iffy, at 7 it becomes insane.

+1 to general idea

my 2 cents;

Purchasable Artifacts

Large Zero Point Battery (10 GP for Full energy refill)
Zero Point Battery (6 GP for Half energy refill)
Small Zero Point Battery (3 GP for Quarter energy refill)

Reason for making them artifacts is so i we use them without going to the gp menu all the damn time.

Possibly make them send-able but not share-able.

Or just make it possible to buy energy cubes.
These are good though, they are needed.

+1, but won't happen.

1 - If you do spend money on the game, you will more than likely buy the 10GP refill even if you only need half that energy to get to your next level.
2 - If you do not spend money on the game, this will not entice you. And if it does, it won't entice you to buy more and more GP stuff.

So in a nutshell, what you are asking Dan to do is to lower the cost of refilling under some circumstances, when time has shown that people will pay the full cost.

I can guarantee that you're wrong about energy purchasing. Zynga, gods curse their evil hearts, sells a variety of energy refill sizes in some of their games, and they sell a lot of them. And at least I, who do use refills at least once a week to help out on NPCs and bases or to complete a mission run, often do not buy them because I don't want to buy energy that will be wasted.

Been suggested before, so I too doubt it will happen. However I think you are incorrect on point number two Thread. I started out not spending a dime on any facebook games. I dropped maybe 10 bucks on CA. I got hooked on this one from the beginning, but still never spent more than enough to buy my F.A.T.H.E.R.S. But, the longer I played, the more I slowly invested; everything from Radiant Surge Cannon - Mark IX, to Trinity-Core Drives, to planets and energy. I would be willing to bet more people might drop a few dollars here and there if it scratched their itch.

Crack dealers know, give em a taste and they will be begging you for more!

after some thought and seeing the artifact version idea, here is a middle-of-the-way one:
the 50% one are sold in bundle of 2 artifacts, for 11 GP
25% one will be sold for 3 each OR bundle of 4 for 12 OR bundle of 8 for 21 etc, but must cost more than 2.75 each

i really feel that 5 GP 50% will undermine the full refill, and the above method is probably the best balance.

Okay, bundling a Use as Needed Refill I can get behind. That way dan still gets his pay out and we get added flexibility. But I'd say 2x50% for 11 and 10x25% for 30 should be the only options.
