When you rank up you get full hull, shields and energy. Why not just remove the negative effects too? All traps and debuffs on you currently removed. It is not too over powered saves you a cage or a null nothing huge. |

Not sure if I like this one. De-buffs and traps are limited time anyway, and for quick rankers it would mean cages and nulls are now of no use whatsoever. -1 from me. |

I would only +1 this if it removed all positive buffs as well. |

Like what it takes off maybe a trap or a debuffs from a npc. ya they can rank and save 1 cage or a null...and get debuffed like 7 times hitting a DCN or hit another 8 traps killing 5 people (if they are lucky enough not to trip a halcyon). Not sure how useless those arts can be since it is so limited. Sure, the OP is suggesting that besides the other benefits of ranking (full energy, full hull, full shields, 5 rank points) that we also get the removal of all harmful effects, sort of a reset of negative effects. This would certainly be abused as this effect would be the equivalent of multiple containment cages/null fuses at the same time (upon ranking). To avoid such abuse, the positive effects would likewise be removed. This would also serve Dan's purpose of slowing auto-rankers who would need to re-buff, thereby affecting their ability to auto-rank. |

Personally I rank 1-2 days apart and usually with missions. I know people autorank from npcs but I can't see how saving a cage or a null can be abused, especially since the way they would have to do it is while debuffed. Not sure why you guys jump to abuse to easily. For instance I get debuffed like 10 times on a warp station. IF I was to happen to rank on the final blow while debuffed, that saves me 1 cage and most likely a huge loss of energy from not taking off my relays. now say it was a styll trap, or sha'din shockfighter...still one cage. Disabling an enemy ship...if you manage to disable them with a KVT on congrats, and rank with it again 1 null, MAYBE 2 if you trip a QFT. If you are hitting them continuously and racking up more than 2 traps and rank up...well your playing style is different from most people. So 1 free cage and/or 2 free nulls is basically what the OP is asking for.If you can actively abuse that...let me tell you, you are one skilled player; that is pretty hard to get the timing down just right. Where as your suggestion...they lose, a neural, shockpulse, obelisk, crimson amp, crux, nanite, all the scan buffs, shield amp, and any other buff they might have on while NPCing. And this is probably going to happen every time they rank, since it is more likely they use npcs to rank than off mission like me. So unless you think 1 cage and 2 nulls is worth all the buffs a person can put on you condition is well terrible. |

1 cage removes all debuffs that aren't from traps. So it would never save more than 1 cage. it could save multiple Null Fuses, but the likelihood is that most players, especially those speed leveling, aren't going to have more than 1 trap, maybe two, trap effects on them at a time. oh noes! The game breaking of 1 cage and 2 fuses every who knows how many thousands of energy. |
