Exotica has the ability to boost its owning legion's base production, so i was thinking, and not sure if its been suggested before, but what about random events for bases? maybe something that could pop up once a week at maximum to stop it being too OP, maybe each lasting between a day and a week, but could grant -

*production bonuses (maybe something like "Large Asteroid", a large asteroid has entered the area around the base, providing a wealth of minerals to be extracted +10% mining production, or "Shared <race> data", the <race> has released new technological findings as per the Galactic Transference Laws following the Aevax incident +10% research production, or maybe for each race a different % improvement, no idea yet for a artefact one)

*extra ability points being restored = The bases crew have received a massive morale boost and are now working at a much improved rate, +10% ability points regenerated a day for .... day(s)

*a buff to the bases combat stats for a while (not sure how much each would get, but maybe something to help encourage the currently "ignored" races/professions)

*maybe something to reduce upkeep by a set amount, as in something like -500M upkeep for ....day(s) instead of -...% percent

any comments/feedback?

Some of em may need a tweak, but yeah i like the idea +1 from me.
