Yeah, Yeah, I know it's ez to get 200k defense on a planet. But I'm talking pre-modified defense, none of the legion bonus and +% buff or structure effects. It is extremely unlikely to make the barrier useful below 3% useful


keep in mind, for each 3% you stack on top, your base value is decreasing, it doesn't grow exponentially, instead it is a curve with a maximal somewhere in the middle.

That is a nice thing, I am just hoping for the most part that it sparks an idea that dan can use. If he sees it needs to be better then he can adjust the idea.

For the get 1000 of any artifact achievement, it should probably be get 1k of any non-tradable artifact.

And for "My god, it's full of stars!" how about "Use 1000 Crimson Obelisks."

Define "better". High ranks already get more of the high value minerals anyway, and you'd have to be fairly high rank to get either of these (the minerals especially require 1k free cargo space). The artifact one could be achieved earlier, but in that case the definition of a "better" artifact is even more difficult (sometimes you need large numbers of the low AP ones).

I really dislike the above 3 ideas, they smack too much of Zynga style achievements requiring you to span your real friends with requests to join the game, or fill your friend list with strangers. One of the things I love most about GL is that it has never been spammy in this respect, especially with the way legions are organised. At least you've chosen low numbers.

Another one promoting negative play, and if you're going to have this, why not use "Laughable" instead?

More random ideas for my enigma series

Demon of misfortune
Fail 15 times consecutively on actions of more than 80% probability.
Reward
Demonic Enigma
Size 15: reduce chance of being hacked and raided by 10% of the orginal chance. (so 50% will be reduced to 45%, 40% to 36%)

Note: count is reset when you succeed an action of more than 80% probability, but is unaffected regardless of result for actions of lower probability. The actions include but not limited to base raids, planet invasions, hack and raids. While the latter two does not display the explicit probability, but I think there might be a % chance somewhere. If, however, it cant go as high as 80%, then I guess it's just base raids and planet invasion....

Angel of Blessing
Succeed 10 times consectively on actions of less than 10% proability
Reward
Angelic Enigma
Size 20: increase chance of hacking and raiding by 10% of the orginal chance. (so 50% becomes 55% etc)

On my mark
Perform 10 times one of the two following actions:
disable a 10 spot or more elite NPC that have all reward spots filled while being the first to attack, last to attack and highest damage contributer on the NPC.
disalbe a lv 4 or higher base while having at least 20 badge slots filled while being the first to attack, last to attack and highest damage contributer.

Special: This module cannot be unistalled within 2 hours of it being installed or the time you last attacked, whichever is later.

(one can consider this a GP purchased module XD)

Perform a series of 20 actions as specified by a task handed out by this achievement.
The task must be accepted before performing to be counted.
Once accepted, performing any action other than those specified in the task will result in failing and reset the count to 0. This includes comm, module install/uninstall and artifacts

disable a ship (allow attacking ships while this task is in progress, but does not allow any artifact usage. WARNING: does NOT allow ship repair)
attack a base
disable a base (allow base attacking while this task is in progress, but does not allow any artifact usage. YOU must be the one to fire the final shot. WARNING: does NOT allow ship repair)
disable a NPC
disable a common NPC
disable a uncommon NPC
disable an elite NPC
disable a rare NPC
disable an extremely rare NPC
disable a standard NPC
disable a matched NPC
repair ship
attack a planet
invade a planet (does NOT allow attacking the planet nor any artifact usage. so you have to "prep" the invasion beforehand)
use xxxx artifact on a xxxxx(xxxxx is any correct target for the specific artifact, from the pool of planets, players, and the various NPC types above mentioned. The artifact can be any unlimited artifact(by rank or other means). This includes artifacts that is used on yourself.)
colonize a planet
install a xxxxx module (where xxxxx is a TYPE of module, not any specific one, you fail if you are at the limit...)
uninstall a xxxxx module
install new xxxxx module (researched module, type qualification only)
send a comm to any player
speak in legion comm
leave legion
alert a ship
alert an elite npc
alert a planet
build a xxxx structure on a planet (this can be ANY structure, research or artifact, except the rift specific ones, omnistream and GP only ones, so u might need to extract a set of everything in preperation)
extract a xxxx structure from a planet (this can be any extractable structure other than rift specific ones and omnistream that you can get more than 1 of via normal means(so omni base dont count). Does not include GP structures)
demolish a xxxx strucutre (can be any researched structure OR any unlimited artifact structures, including but not limited to AP, CTL and NPC that does not "go away")
scan a planet
make a CTL attempt
create a CTL item
create a specific CTL item (I'm not entirely sure if you are allowed to make attempts when you have all recipes discovered in the CTL. If it does allow, then this can be any item. If not, then this can be anything EXCEPT crux.)
Do absolutely nothing for 10 min, starting 2 seconds after the start of this task (this include any mouse or keyboard movement) Then click in 5 specified circles that will be randomly generated on the screen within 30 seconds after the end of the 10 min, the first of which will be generated at the start of the 10 min. There will be NO TIMER, so keep track of time yourself.
visit the forum
read the terms of service (will come with a question to be answered)
recieve mineral shipment
recieve AP shipment
perform a research (contract does count, for those that have ran out of researches)

And any other tasks that does not cause a conflict with the above ones that I did not think of....


You do NOT know which task will show up before you accept it, once you accept the task, a random one will appear, so you have to prepare for everything (kill NPC until one of each category shows up, and make a planet invasion ready and such)
Thou you can do anything between tasks as long as you dont accept the next one, so you can prep for the next one
Note that I've made all the tasks non-conflicting with each other. Which means with proper prep, you can perform any that comes up... thou perfect prep might be on the hard side to say the least....

a sort of,... remember not to get disable. make a minimum level requirement lets say 250, whole thing gets more difficult. I think rewards as they are now are pretty much balanced, so it will be a matter of tweaking ideas towards a greater balance.
