Post subject:  a new NPC

i was thinking, most of the TO faction NPCs are either mission dropped or low level, or just insanely rare, so i was thinking maybe a new common/uncommon one thats matched and could drop CTP (main drop) or Xcharge Cells (less common drop), this could help with upgrading bases or to help with building the aegis capacitor, or just increasing shields in general.

any feedback/comments?

Increasing shields could be OP if this is common, even if it's just by 1.
There are people who can burn through 5K npcs a day. Even if it's less common than flamehawks, that's still a couple thousand shields a week.

If it's a low chance for an X-Charge, there would be no issue.

i think this is a good idea. being leader of a very small legion (2 members total :) ) we find it hard to get enough CTP's from drops and trade.
haveing more mached NPC's with CTP drops would be very helpfull

How about a Blue Obelisk that acts like the Crimson but for Defense. There are four Red Attack Boosters, but only 1 Blue Defense Booster.

I'm all for more NPC's. Making more T.O.s that are matched would be great.

Yeah, make it something like a 1-2% chance, on a ship a bit less common than flamehawks. Could work.
If your doing 5k NPC's a day, and Dan added them, say, 5% of the NPC's you get are these things.
At 1-2% chance for X-charges, your only getting an extra 2.5-5 cells a day.
Which is a lot less than people who are able to kill 5k NPC's a day get in artifact shipments.

We do need more defense Arti's, no doubt. The one steady drop from shipments is just not enough.
Maybe add it to the drop of some Common/Uncommon NPC.
But then again, maybe thats why Dan made the CTL item Velox Thruster Modules (+250 +5% def) and nothing similar for attack, to compensate for a lack of defensive arti's.

Preferably, he'd make something similar for attack, and add a couple of defense artifacts.

There are also a few long term buffs like the XRP and tevrazon buffs, that add 20%, and multiple mods that add a def% to your ship, as well as regular helmsman drops in artis.... Adding anything more, especially anything common, would lead to ships being almost indestructible
