there are alot of things that happen, especially my actions, that dont get recorded in the ships log. From time to time I find myself trying to remember something that happened or that i have done and there is no record of it to verify my memory. If I had a personal log where i could put things that happen (and that I have done) that I think are important it would be a great aid

That pretty easy to do on your own, so why would Dan need to take the time to implement this? Try Google Docs, that way you can make a spreadsheet of what you've done and access it from any computer where you happen to be playing GL.

Try a notepad.

Or even simpler, write it down on a piece of paper...
Though thats not as Durable, is easier to loose and takes a little longer, it still works.
