I would like to propose a change to the following existing GL rule: * In the case where multiple legion leaders exist, the leader that has been with the legion the longest cannot be demoted by another leader. They may still demote themselves, however. Note that we still encourage all players to exercise caution when promoting.
I feel it should be amended to include this statement: However if a leader goes into an "inactive" status their time in the leader position will be reset. Then it shall commence to accrue upon them reinstating their "active" status.
This will allow for demotions in cases where a leader has become inactive. Under the current rule a leader can be inactive and not be able to be demoted, which can have a detrimental effect on legion moral as well as other drawbacks.

leaders are allowed holidays and time away from the game without risk of being donated. so -1
unless of course the time of being inactive is 1 month+ for leaders then +1

Yup this is a good idea, although I hope my legion never has to put it to good use.

Agree here. +1
of course I also wish there was a vacation status you could set on yourself. doesn't count towards base bonus, but doesn't take away from base draws either, maybe.

unless of course the time of being inactive is 1 month+ for leaders then +1 I agree with you that leaders should be able to take some time off, but I would like to point out that I have played for over 2 years and have taken plenty of time off, I can usually log on from a phone or something once a week to at least avoid going inactive. Please consider what may happen in a case where a leader is virtually asleep at the helm....being inactive for 2 weeks then signing on for 5 minutes then being inactive for another 3 weeks then signing on for 5 minutes and so on. They are offering no real leadership in such a scenario, so I believe a month is too long. It seems more logical to use the "inactive" status as the benchmark in my opinion.

Vacation status has been discussed before, personally I like the idea and would support it it modeled correctly. That would also solve Sparkys issue. But that is a discussion for a new thread.

unless of course the time of being inactive is 1 month+ for leaders then +1 I agree leaders can be allowed time to be gone but after 3 wks or so then they should lose the seniority. If inactive to long they need to be kicked for room of more actives. I also think that founding leader should have seniority even if they left and came back. I have several sub legions I go out to help upgrade their base or help their members, but once I leave I lose that seniority and could get kicked and demoted to legion I created. I trust my legion but I think founders of legions should be given the seniority no matter what.

I'd like it to be amended too. Not in the legion the longest...... Longest as a leader should be the senior leader that cannot be demoted.

The founding leader should also have full loyalty to there original legion automatically if they go there maybe only have the option of designating 1 legion they created that this would apply to.

I do like the idea of a senior leader. Military is commanded the same way. You may have Marines that are the same rank but in the end there is the Commandant of the Marine Corps. He is a 4 star General but holds more weight then any other 4 star in the Marines.
