There is a few people on here that start arguments and stuff, ideally we wouldn't need mods but probably best to add a few more in just in case anything does start to kick off on here (Don't want to have to rely on you Dan all the time, we all know how busy you are with the iminent release of the Galactic Trade Center and stuff yeah :D  )

P.S. Can we also get the ability to vote back then you can allow us to vote on who we want :)

The question is, if we vote on a mod (which I think you are suggesting?) will they be elected based on popularity or respect for the forum rules.
(I'm guessing first one)
But we do need some more mods on the forum. So +.75

Mods should be picked by Dan, since it is his forum and game, but having voting and polls back would be nice to have again.

Definitely a +1 for a few new moderators. At times I think a few of us already feel like it trying to defuse tensions and telling people they are out of line with their posts. BUT... Should we get to vote on who we want? No. Moderators should be anonymous. At least in THIS forum. Too much drama already, and I know I wouldn't want my inbox flooded with "he said this, here.. he should be banned!" or "how can you ban me but not him?!?" Although polls in general should be re-instated. I personally don't really care for them in this type of setting, and some people used to abuse the poll button, but most took the polling seriously.

Having said that, my first executive action, if elected, will be to ban Howesy.

Dan can pick a fairly large number of possible peepz that he will accept as mods
then we can vote on which ones we like better

That way, Dan will get ppl he can trust&like regardless of the winning result. At the same time, a popular mod might be more effective in all sort of stuff

well if the voting is brought back i'm sure it wouldn't be abused, everyone would know the consequences and would not want it removed again.

But seriously though, new mods are needed. I'm willing to bet people will be dumb enough to follow JF's example in the Pub. Something's gotta be done.

If Dan is going to pick more mods they're more likely going to be the people who:

1. Actively chat on the forums
2. Can recite/quote rules from the ToS
3. Have to be very reasonable and optimistic
4. Remain anonymous to avoid flooded inboxes
5. Doesn't break any rules and tries strictly to follow them
6. Remain neutral and tend to defuse heated arguments

I second that!

the only problem that comes with players becoming mods and especially well known forum types like you flag is that whether or not you operate fairly and completely above board there will be accusations against you not being impartial and the like. I've seen it abused by forum moderators in other games they were heavily invested in and I've also seen accusations against those I'm sure were 100% above board.

I have no idea what the solution is just be prepared that if you're elected to mod there will be drama

These new mods have to be neutral and optimistic. They must also follow the rules and try to follow them strictly.

And I vote for Darth Flagitious
