Correct. We did not intend for the points to be spent (as there is a finite amount of them), but they will instead 'unlock' various things at different point scales.

Can we use the medal points to buy upgrades to the ship designs? What I mean is like a passive ability while a certain design/title is active. maybe something like: While the title "The Omniscient v2" is active planetary events "Ancient Relics" and "Unique Lifeforms" have a 10% increase chance of being rolled if an event is to occur. The annihilator v2 allows for crits on NPCs or bonus % to crits in pvp. The Pirate v2 gives +1% production on oceanic planets The Marauder v2 gives +1% production on oceanic and desert planets Ship designs Vulture v2 gives increase chance to raid in pvp Nephthys v2 5% chance a crew member will be spared if you critical fail an invasion or raid Prices would be like 10-50 medal points. |

Dan specifically stated that Medal Points cannot and most likely will not be used to purchase further reward. |

Doesn't need to be purchased like badges just unlocks the upgrade. ie at 200 medal points you can upgrade a ship design or title and again at 300 or something like that. |

don't forget in the medals FAQ Q: What are medal points used for? Can I spend them? Medal points are accumulated as you gain medals. Each medal has a specific number of points that it is worth. Though they cannot be spent, they will be used for other purposes in the future, such as mission prerequisites, battle market requirements, and leaderboard rankings. so have patience, they are still a bit new, who knows what new treats will come out for them |
