short 10-20 minute random moments (maybe 3 of these per day) where traps have no effect and everybody can mass pvp without being affected by traps.

What do you all think of this idea.

Then people would hate it :P Fact of the matter is, no one really cared about Kroniuses because of a stack of nulls, and Firewalls would only be marginally useful if taken offline.

Overpowered eh? So the multitude of traps, and an excessive amount of modules that increase defense when being attacked plus the xecti ability makes the attacker overpowered? At low ranks yes, at middle to high ranks. Definitely not.

It's a fun mini-event, I'm supporting this completely.
+1 It gets the higher ranks back into PvP for atleast 10mins-30mins and bring back the fun that they're missing from PvP ever since they were at their low rank phase of the game.

If you want to avoid this Massive PvP event, just try to lay low in this mini-event/event until it's finished. Just my opinion.

Hmm let's see... The Majority of players are either Insane or Laughable. Only like 10% are in between. Also, most of the "medium" PvPers can take out high-leveled players, often up to a hundred ranks over their own. That shows that they are powerful, no need to give them a window of opportunity where they can rack up many more kills within minutes.

Obviously you ignore the countless mods dan has added to help non PvPers in PvP. The fact that you ignore them either suggests that:

1. You're ignorant of dan's attempts to help non PvPers
2. You don't have high defense
3. You don't have high cloak

1) That is a mere statement that there are distinct playstyles.
2) You mean like me? Many of us have played for alot longer than other ships our own rank, and can then take out higher ranked ships, BUT who's fault is that? Ours for being strong, or theirs for having a different playstyle.
3) Yes, yes it does. But, how is the ability to autorank off of missions not powerful? Or the ability to plow through thousands of NPCs?
4) So, what you REALLY want is for PvPers to not be able to PvP at all. We can already rack up kills in minutes. Come, jump on my logs. I can zero your disables as quickly as I see you repair. Who cares if it costs a couple Nulls? Wait, wait. Sorry, I can't because you can just halc up and be totally invincible. How's that for overpowered?
5) *Facepalm*. No, really. I'm going to get alot of kills on 500 energy, aren't I? Just make this random (ergo, no warning), and there you have it! No way for us to bring on cores in time.

Now, after reading your post a very obvious conclusion reaches my mind. I'm curious as to if anyone else posts something along the same lines, so I will refrain from posting it yet, but do go on.

If you can already get many kills in a few minutes, why do you want this implemented then? And no, not everyone uses halcs. And anyway, who cares if one person is invincible because of halcs? You can still kill many more. And if done right, PvPers can autorank as well. Just because they choose not to doesn't mean that autorankers are overpowered. And besides, if someone autoranks, it doesn't exactly help them. They'd increase their rank, but that's it. Their ship would get worse for their rank because they would rank up faster than they would research new modules. They won't have more decks either, because they have to put it into engineers to rank up more. So now, autorankers are pretty much underpowered.

And "plowing through thousands of NPCs" is similar to PvP; the enemy is just easier. Getting 100 NPC Kills is somewhat similar to getting 25 or whatever PvP kills. NPC kills may be more rewarding, but then again, you choose whether or not you want to NPC or PvP.
